I remember him, and his wife...sad

In the last few days, I've heard many stories, from 3 different states.

If any body knows anything, the Chippewa Co, MI police are still looking for evidence, victims, etc.

If you know any victims, encourage them to contact police.

Thanks.

Help bury this Wolf for good.

The first thing that came to mind was the girls. I knew there were his step kids, but made one wonder for sure.

I personally am stunned at this news. I knew him and his family well, worked with him on the same route for years, and on a neighboring route after that.

I have spent the last day thinking back, trying to see if anything unusual jumped out at me....

The level of depravity here is shocking.

I have spoken to several involved for the last hour, and I wish I didn't know this garbage.

I was blown away.
I thought we were just dealing with some one who was Schaaping out on us, but we actually have a serial predator on our hands.

Earnestly Contend

"Schaaping Out."  That term belongs in the dictionary!

This former student was after I was gone, but it still saddens me.  Especially since so many of you all knew him.  :(

Serious comment:

Stop investing so much in the bus kid while ignoring the church kid.  The church kid needs help also.  2.9 million cases of child abuse are reported each year in the US.  So many more are never reported.  This epidemic is not just affecting the bus kid.  it is also affecting the church kid.  When the bus kid shared with a church worker the abuse, something is done.  When the church kid shares with a church worker the abuse, the abused is ignored, he is labeled a rebel, punished and the abuser is lauded.

Please.  Care for the church kid as much as you do the bus kid.

That mentality was actually dissuaded by Hyles. He made himself the prime example when he confessed that David gave him (Hyles) up as a "regular dad" for the sake of the ministry. Many staff and students both into that idea and followed the same route at the expense of their own children.

In addition, the idea of "I didn't see it so it didn't happen" mentality actually fostered terrible abuses by allowing them to thrive. The same kid who was getting fondled or bloodied at home could not tell anyone because they were not to be believed, yet they themselves would get in trouble ON THE RUMOR of ditching a church service, listen to a country radio station in their car or sneak in to see a movie, even though the one with whom they were in trouble "didn't see" it.

I can only hope that situation has changed.

Came across this article today:
