among my group of friends and associates any time you mention baptist preachers.... of any affliation ... jerry falwell is the one they think of...... for most he;s probably the only baptist name they know.....

I remember as a kid watching The Old Time Gospel Hour. I was fascinated by the lady in the circle - didn't really pay any attention to the man talking.

Jerry Falwell was a visionary and at the forefront in many areas.
He began the LU School of Life Long Learning, one of the first online options for higher education. In the beginning they mailed VHS tapes to the students.
In my opinion when it’s all said and done he will have a greater impact on the Kingdom than most of his peers because of the growth and continuing legacy of Liberty University.

And I know he was a flawed human as are those who lead Liberty.
