JERUSALEM is not the sole proprietorship of ISRAEL

"We can forgive the Arabs for killing our children. We cannot forgive them for forcing us to kill their children. We will only have peace with the Arabs when they love their children more than they hate us."
-- Golda Meir

Lots of online websites about the history of Israel and Palestine. Below are two links.  http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/history-and-overview-of-the-british-palestine-mandate

Perhaps, Route 70 would like to enlighten Yale with his thoughts.

I think if a person is a citizen of the U.S., it is necessary to attempt to find solutions to problems in our own backyard. Problems like poverty, mental illness, a growing population of homeless people just to name a few.

Jo, you need to educate yourself.  Sure, if you link to two pro-Jewish websites you are going to get a certain -- not necessarily honest -- viewpoint.

Sol Goldman (Lillian Goldman Law Library, Yale University) died a billionaire.  He was a Jewish real estate investor.  Duh.

Here is a quote from your other Jewish site: "In July 1922, the League of Nations entrusted Great Britain with the Mandate for Palestine. Recognizing ?the historical connection of the Jewish people with Palestine.?"

Duh, again.

The Balfour Declaration grew out of a letter written by Sir Arthur Balfour to Baron Lionel Walter Rothschild (prominent Jew), expressing a desire to establish a Jewish homeland in Palestine.

Duh, once again.

Your Jewish site, which mentions Britain?s surrender of their Mandate over Palestine, conveniently failed to mention why they did that.  I?ll let you research that one.

Nah -- you'll get it wrong.  I'll help:  research "Irgun" and "Haganah" and "King David Hotel."

Aw, gee, gosh!  Thanks, T-Bonehead!

So clever and so smart!  Bwhahahahaha

Israel has no legal standing in the West Bank. Israel has no legal standing in Jerusalem. You should do some research. I'll get you started:

In 1947, just before the British pulled out of its U.N. Mandate to govern Palestine, Palestine was partitioned into Jewish and Palestinian "states," with Palestine receiving the West Bank and Gaza, and Jerusalem being declared an international city. No U.N. resolution since then has overturned that resolution.

In 1949, the fourth Geneva Convention was ratified, among which was an injunction that forbids a conquering country from deporting the citizens of said conquered country, annexing territory and establishing settlements, and from forbidding any displaced citizens from returning to their country/homes after the cessation of hostilities.

Israel has violated all of these things I just listed; and continues to do so to this day -- illegally.

"Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass." ~~ I Samuel 15:3.

I don?t care if God did order the children of Israel to commit genocide in the way that the Old Testament describes, I am against it! What the children of Israel did when they took the land was and is abhorrent! How can any sane, moral person by okay with it? This is the legacy of Israel: invading someone else?s land and driving out the inhabitants, taking their homes; and if they won?t go, then kill them all ? even the sucking babies! The current state of Israel has basically done the same thing.

Everyone in this world has the right to sleep peacefully and safely in their beds at night. That includes the Palestinians. The Palestinians had peace and safety until the World Zionist Organization fomented a takeover of their peaceful and safe beds beginning after WW2. But no one has the right to sleep peacefully and safely in a bed that does not belong to him.

The land belongs to Israel now, sure ? but only because they took it by force, with the backing of the United States.

If the Zionists had been more amenable, and had not declared themselves to be the sole proprietors of Palestine, we might not have seen all the carnage that has taken place all these years.
