JERUSALEM is not the sole proprietorship of ISRAEL

You seem to get  kick out of believing every Christian wants to see you damned.  Just the opposite.  I feel sorry for you.  Maybe you will open your eyes before you cross over into eternity.

Everyone ends up in the same place.

"All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again to dust." (Job 34:15).

It is obvious.  Only the FOOLED believe otherwise.

Yet AGAIN, I am so thankful that you, the Hoopster and Smellin came here to enlighten us...and all of orthodox Christianity.
Down through the centuries us poor schmucks have been constantly deceived.
Elmer was the forerunner because he is obviously the most enlightened (no offense to the 2 other Fhilistines).
But you 3 Fabulous Fhilistines are smarter than the collective 'wisdom' of Christianity for over 2000 years.

WE ARE BLESSED!!

You are welcome!

It gives a warm feeling to see someone admit the error of his ways and to give proper credit where credit is due!

Again: you are welcome!

Israel, a country that had not really existed as a separate nation for nearly 2,500 years, was declared a new sovereign state by an act of the United Nations on May 14, 1948. The nation was literally born in a single day just as God predicted it would be.

This is totally the opposite of what actually happened.  No "act of the United Nations" established the state of Israel -- just the opposite.  The U.N. nearly unanimously condemned the Declaration of Independence declared by Israel.  Only two countries backed Israel at that time:  the united States, and surpise! surprise! -- Russia!

"The virgin of Israel is fallen; she shall no more rise: she is forsaken upon her land; there is none to raise her up." ~~ Amos 5:2

"The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more." ~~ Amos 8:2

Remember, the NT Pharisees were also orthodox and missed out on the supremacy of Jesus' teachings over written canon. :)

"We have taken Jerusalem, the toughest part of the negotiation, off the table ..."

Who are "we" or Donald Trump to take Jerusalem "off the table?"  Has it become "our" prerogative to decide who does and who does not "own" Jerusalem?

It is time that Christians get their collective heads out of their collective derrieres.  Israel does not have exclusive rights regarding Jerusalem.  If anything, the Arabs have more rights regarding Jerusalem than do the Israelies.

Benjamin Netanyahu's reference to Jerusalem as the capital of Israel is bogus.  Jerusalem, according to the OT, was the capital of Israel for only all of 73 years!  After that, the capital moved around, but never again was Jerusalem the capital of Israel.

Instead of jealously guarding your position -- a position you were told to take by your parents, pastors, or Bible college professors -- why don't you open your Bibles and carefully thoroughly study this issue as I have.  The day of Israel is past.  The day of Jerusalem is past.  Jerusalem is no longer under the purview of Israel.

We = US

He won the election by a landslide.

You shouldn't let your feelings dictate the historical realities... even the present ones.

This thing about "Jerusalem" has been a bi-party issue, all along. Even Chuck Schumer pressed Trump to do this just as recently as September 2017.

Because the Dems and the Repubs are both in favor of "This thing about 'Jerusalem'" makes it okay?

Jerusalem is not a part of the U.S.  Neither "we" nor "us" has any right to insert ourselves into this issue.

Everyone -- EVERYONE -- bases their claim that Jerusalem belongs to Israel on the Old Testment.

THEY ARE WRONG.  We are wrong.  Us are (is) wrong.  Trump is wrong.  Netanyahu is wrong.  And you are wrong.

What is this "feelings dictate the historical realities?"  First, the only evidence we have that links David and Solomon to Jerusalem is the Bible.  There is nothing else in history to support this notion.  But even if we did have historical or archaeological evidence, we have the New Testament, namely the Apostle Paul, who clearly villifies the Jews and their notions about Jerusalem.  My "feelings" are based on what I can read -- not on how I "feel."

I have give you the NT references that back my assertion.  Have you read them?  Do you agree with Paul?

The problem with hasty generalizations is that they are hasty and over-generalize. I go back to 1948 for their right.

You have lost. You are losing. Trump is right and winning and preserving our interests. Netanyahu has the right to preserve his nation's interests. I am obviously right because it is happening with BIPARTISAN support!

What is this "feelings dictate the historical realities?"

In spite of all that has happened since 1948 and now, you still don't want Israel to have any claim to Jerusalem. You THINK and FEEL that Israelites are wrong and the Palestinians are right.

I have give you the NT references that back my assertion.  Have you read them?  Do you agree with Paul?

Who cares? Paul was not interested in where we are establishing our embassy today. I don't even think he knew.

So there you have it.  Your only interest is in being right -- or perhaps, winning an argument.

If we throw out the Bible, then the fact is this:  The World Zionist Organization pushed for and eventually established a homeland for the Jews.  They did this by invading and occupying someone else's land, which is a violation of the Geneva Convention.  The U.N. has continuousy passed resolution after resolution condemning the state of Israel for occupying the West Bank.  Even the U.S. is on record for condemning Israel for this.  Yet Israel continues to annex more and more of the West Bank.

Trump's statement about the embassy, and the eventual move to Jerusalem is ill-advised.  It is a mistake.  It is wrong.  Israel has no right to claim Jerusalem as its capital.

In the meantime, the Apostle Paul made it clear that Israel's day -- the Jews' day -- is past.

First, we can eliminate the Bible as a justification for Israel.

Second, we can eliminate the legitimacy of Israel based on the rule of law.  The West Bank was given to the Arabs by the United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine in 1947.  The West Bank does not belong to Israel.  Israel is in violation of UN mandate and is in violation of the Geneva Convention, which forbids a conquering country from occupying conquered territory, which Israel did following the 1948 war.

Third, Jerusalem was declared to be an ?International city? by the same U.N. mandate that partitioned Palestine.

By supporting Israel?s claim to Jerusalem, the United States is in violation of international law.

Those are the facts.

Show us where in the Geneva Convention it mandates that another country cannot invade and occupy another.

"Show us."  In other words, you base your beliefs on what someone else "shows" you.  Don't be so naive.  Dispel your ignorance.  Do some research.

The fourth Geneva Convention prohibits an occupying country from deporting the inhabitants of the occupied territory and establishing settlements for its own citizens.

Of course, a country cannot generally conquer a country without temporarily "occupying" it.  But "occupy" does not mean "annex."  Israel has annexed pasts of the West Bank; has established settlements in the West Bank; and has plans to establish more settlements ? all in violation of the fourth Geneva Convention.

Since the victory was secured in 1948, how does the 1949 Convention rules apply?

SMH.  Once again.

Israel did not occupy the West Bank until after the 1967 war.  Prior to that, the West Bank was part of Jordan.

Good grief.  I feel like I am arguing with Barney Fife.

It's "grandfathered" in.  Right now Route 666 is packing up to give his property back to the Indians.

He doesn't want war to have implications in favor of Israel. He is allin for the Palestinians. Just like the UN.

The UN is corrupt and always against the US and Israel.

Next thing he is going to argue is that Israel shoots at the Palestinians and the innocent Palestinians shoot back.

How stupid!  There is no retroactive  clause in the Geneva Convention.

This is a perfect illustration of what I have been asserting all along: Christians are among the most ignorant people on the face of the earth.  Furthermore, when you show them the error of their ways, they prefer to wallow in their ignorance.

Boy... it didn?t take much to send Route over the edge! His hatred of Christians is evident. It is one thing to debate ideas but the rancor is a bit over the top
