John 3:16

I hope she never needs a ride...........................because he ain't coming.

She calls him on the phone for a ride, his reply, sorry babe..............................but I gotta think about my testimony.

Ok so the issue is, he couldn't be seen with his wife, in case she was mistaken for someone else.

So the question is, when can he be seen with his wife?

I am not comfortable being alone with another lady in any setting.  Just feels weird.  May have been a few circumstances through the years when I was, but it isn't comfortable.

Do you allow yourself to get into the situation where you are alone in a car with the opposite sex?

I don't allow myself to be seen alone in a car with the same sex, just in case a fundamentalist sees me and assumes I'm gay.

But a single guy riding around all alone is likely to be seen as a pedophile or a mass murderer planning his crimes.

Now we can't go anywhere in the car. :-\

IF you're not comfortable. You're not comfortable. Being pious about it.... is a different story.

Regardless of what one thinks of Billy Graham's policy on elevators or if Lee Roberson went overboard I would not want my wife taking regular lunch  dates with other men at work alone.  At least Billy Graham wasn't plagued with sexual scandals like so many other religious leaders have been.  Bob Harrington would probably warn about being with women other than his wife.

Prudence is always in order.  Be fully persuaded in your own mind.

Can a man ride alone in the car with his adult daughter and still remain 'above reproach'?  ::)

Perhaps we sometimes assume others judge us because of the judgmental attitudes within our own hearts.

I never go to buffets because people might think I'm a glutton.

I never go to the bank because people might think I'm a lover of money.

I never take shower because people might think I am a nudist.  :D

Bingo!!

It's very very judgmental to assume.

I never buy Lucky Charms because people might think I'm a gambler.

I never drink IBC root-beer because I don't like root-beer.

I never ride in a vehicle alone with my wife because someone might mistake her for someone else.

But here's the kicker, I do it because I'm a man of Conviction.

I never ride alone with my wife because people may question her ability to judge the character of people she hangs around with.

I never ride in cars because people might think I'm lazy.

I never go out because people might think of me.

I attend a progressive, politically correct assembly.

I never drink my Jack Daniels from a paper bag, because someone might think I'm drinking soda.

I never use the term "opposite sex" because someone might think I believe there are only two genders.
