Let’s Go Canada 🇨🇦

The only other times the Jays have reached the Series, they won ('92 and '93).

That's not much to go on, but there is a precedent...

I see a similar situation with the Jays this year. It might take seven games though.
Anything can happen, that's why they they play the game, and any other cliche that you can think of, LOL, but if I were a betting man 😉 my money would most certainly be on those West coasters.

When it comes to the Dodgers, I would root for a team of Woke Palestinian Trannies over them!

Go Jays! Eh?

Please pass the Poutine, extra curds and gravy!

Got any Molson or Moosehead on draft?

With all the former Astros on the Toronto rostor, we can say confidently that the Astros are still the Dodger's daddy! :ROFLMAO:

On the other hand, it was Joe Carter who won the Series both times for the Jays, and he hasn't played for nearly 30 years.

Jays in 7. You heard it here first. Go ahead and bet the mortgage. You can thank me later. 😎

Dodgers win over the Jays, 5-1.

Joe Carter threw out the first pitch tonight. That should have won the game right there. But alas.

Series tied up and heading to LA for 3 games.

Dodgers home record: 52-29.

Blue Jays road record: 40-41.

I can see the Dodgers potentially finishing them off at home.

I’m sticking with my prediction: Jays win in game 7.

I predict LA in 6.

I will add that if Toronto does win, they will probably save a bunch of downtown LA businesses from being vandalized and looted during celebrations. I’ll at least thank them for that.

You're probably right on that.

Don't know if I've told this story before on the FFF. Back in 1993, when the Jays won their second series (also in 6), I was at school in Waterloo - about 100 km or so from Toronto, where that night's game was being played, so in the dorm, naturally the Jays were Our Team (excepting one stubborn Phillies holdout, as I recall). Couldn't have asked for a better ending to a ball game - the home team coming from behind in the bottom of the ninth and winning with a walk-off homerun. Pandemonium in the dorm TV room. Beers all round. Etc.

We heard tell that there was a celebration going on in the uptown streets, so I decided it was a good time to get some fresh air. I took a walk, and it wasn't long before, walking south along King St., I encountered a noisy mob coming north, maybe 100 people, mostly students like me, judging by their apparent age. Between us was an intersection and a red light.

By now it was close to midnight, and there was zero traffic. Normally, as a pedestrian, I'd feel free to jaywalk, no pun intended, under those circumstances. But something made me hold back on the petty lawbreaking that one time--just to see what would happen.

Sure enough, the entire mob waited on the opposite corner for the light to turn green before crossing the empty intersection (exchanging high-fives with me partway).

30 years ago, even our unruly mobs were polite and law-abiding.

Demographics have changed a bit in 30 years, though. I hope you're still right.
