I absolutely agree.  It is the responsibility of each of us to not sin.  We should each control what we focus our eyes upon and what thoughts we entertain.  We should also each control how we adorn the body we have been given.  Both lust and immodesty are sins.

Dang! Now I have to go and toss out my yoga pants! (what are they?)

All I can say is...like spandex of old, yoga pants either should have a weight limit or large warning labels that anyone in the vicinity can see and stand clear! :o :o :o :o

I surely do not want to be guilty of having women lust after me because I wear yoga pants!

I cannot properly discern the issue without some photos of said yoga pants.

If it were me in the pants, they wouldn't lust, they would judge!

I work downtown Columbia, The University of South Carolina owns everything around SCDOT, so these young co-ed's in yoga pants are everywhere.  Yoga pants can be worn in a modest fashion with a nice shirt to cover ...well to cover, but sadly way too many of these young ladies wear them extremely tight and with out a long shirt, and now at least around USC yoga shorts are popular.

I may take some flack for this, but here goes...

Based on just my own reactions to yoga pants, a major factor in how my mind reacts is the shape and size of the person wearing said yoga pants. I'll be the first to admit that I've let my gaze linger a bit too long at a "cute, young thang" wearing tight yoga pants and thinking to myself, 'hmmmm, nice booty.' (Never did it around my wife however. I'm crazy, but I wasn't stupid LOL)

Then on the other hand, I've seen 250+ pound women trying to pull off the yoga pants look and thought to myself, 'what on earth was she thinking? I have seen things I can never un-see.'

I don't know if others react / feel the same way, but I thought I'd toss in my observations on the subject.

It seems you've forgotten where you're posting.

There are a few men on here that DO NOT fight their flesh on here.

They can go out to eat 5 days a week with some "sweet thang" in "yoga pants" for 5 years and they would never not one time "sin" in their mind. Or attempt to flirt not one time, nope, not the men on here. They really got it it together.

They also have no issue whatsoever  with their wife's best friend being a young buck from work and them going out to eat 5 days a week for lunch.

Yeah I believe you've forgotten where you are!

Feminine modesty in our culture is going the way of the dodo bird. The fact that even evangelicals are being forced to notice it should tell you something...

We evangelicals have notice the lack of modesty for a long time...even speaking about it in teaching and preaching...we just don't believe a woman has to be dressed in a burka, like Muslims and Xer's, to be modest.

See how those hyperbolic generalization just don't work...and actually make one lose their point.

It all started when they took out the King James Bibles out  of the schools, now we are seeing the destructive behavior of yoga pants and what it had done for our society now. Men are now gazing at wimmins bottoms now! Because men have never done that before until these ungodly yoga pants came about!!

masculine decency and the expectation of men to take responsibility for their own actions went the way of the dodo bird in our culture long ago...... and it was men in positions of authority who led the way......

What?!?!? You can't blame men for all the jezebels running around looking to trap men with yoga pants!! It's the Jezebels fault!!

If it were me in the pants, they would be pointing and laughing hysterically.

How quickly the red herring is followed.

Lust is a sin.  Immodesty is a sin.

Why do we call evil good?  Calling lust, good, is wrong.  Calling immodesty, good, is wrong.

I call it good when my wife wears yoga pants ;)

Sin is from within; not by a woman wearing yoga pants......

Why is this so hard?  Why do you only want to acknowledge that one statement is true, but not the other?

If I dress immodestly, it is my sin.

If I lust, it is my sin.

Both are sin.

Your lust is not my sin.  Your immodesty is not my sin.

It could be argues that all sin is from within.  Yet, it manifests itself outwardly and is forbidden by God.
