I asked my mom, she says, it was like wow! For her it was the preaching she loved the preaching at FBCH. Also, she says, we didn't see your dad until we moved back to Louisiana.
He worked till 2 or 3 in the morning and up at 6 or so and off to school and the same routine all week and he dad that for years.
It's funny and I joke with her and even poke fun at her, she has a since of humor but she thought the people there walked on water

and she's says, yeah they did, so now what?
LOL! I love that woman.
She says it was definitely a culture shock. She says, we from Cajun country and well we different down here. She says my dad loved the preaching as well, but thought a lot of the men were sissy's

my dad grew up in the ghetto's was in the marines and was in the oil field before going, rough neck for sure.
She also said that, I know Jack Hyles may not have been a good example for his people there but for us we didn't grow up there, we knew him from the pulpit and met with him a few times and that was it.
