President Trump very well may be the most immoral Republican ever. He rates up there with democratic pillars of morality like JFK, Lyndon B. Johnson, Bill Clinton and even Franklin D. Roosevelt, who was rumored to have had a very close relationships with his secretary, his wife's secretary and the secretaries of most of his staff.
President Trump also has one of the most pro-growth, pro American agenda's of any president. Oh to have a man like Carter with the vision and policies of a Donald trump.
I meet Carter once in Georgia and he is an impressive man even in his 90's.
He is still teaching Sunday School after 60 years.

Trump is an embarrassment.....but policy tops personality.
However, I bet John the Baptist never looked at Herod's "policies" when he rebuked his adultery. He lost his head speaking "truth to power." Modern evangelical preachers would heap adulation on Herod as long as he had an "R" beside his name.
My congregation knows that I appreciate the good things the President has done. They also know that I believe he is the most immoral person to ever set foot in the oval office....by FAR! He lies, then he lies, then he exaggerates, then he lies, then he insults, then he lies, then he sleeps with a porn star, then he lies, then he insults, then he insults, then he lies (to infinity and beyond.)

I generally agree with your comment but Republicans as well as Christians are putting pressure on liberal Republicans in primaries all over the country. A number of Liberal Republicans have chosen not to run in the fall because they knew they could not win in the primary elections.cpizzle said:

I hope all you accusation & grenade throwing preachers don't treat your new converts that you welcome into your churches as new believers the way you do Mr. Trump, who is said to have trusted Christ as Savior during the campaign.

I have known new converts to keep on drinking for a while or go on a binge of drinking AFTER getting saved. I have known new converts to use language that would never be allowed at a Bible college and yet we patiently continue to work with & endeavor to teach & disciple them in living out the Scriptures. Many other examples could be used.
But no.............you allow NONE OF THAT for Trump because of his office & public persona. Trump was known as a billionaire playboy, a street fighting, a tough guy business building tycoon who did not attend Sunday School. Yet on this thread his past is thrown up as proof that he must still be a heathen. Really. You don't dare give him time to grow spiritually. You guys expect him to instantly become John the Baptist.
I for one will continue to thank God that we have Trump & not what the other candidate stood to offer our country as the President. I have been thankful that Trump has shown himself a friend to churches & Christians that are true to the Bible. I am thankful that my own small business has prospered under Trump as never before.
I will continue to give Mr. Trump time to grow & I will not be holding his past or past statements that made me mad or that I disagreed with against him. I will pray that he does right by the country & by the office, no matter how rough around the gills I think he may be. Truth be told I voted for him but with much reluctance & doubts. But I also knew & still realize that we were not electing the perfect super-Christian of the US, we were electing a man who would be The President of the US. I support him more now than when I voted for him.

Trump is arrogant and filled with pride. As was Obama before him...Obama was just more of a hypocrite than Trump. At least as to his public persona.
When Obama was OUR president, we prayed for him regularly. We do the same for Trump.
I have personal and political beliefs and positions. When I vote, I vote for the candidate who reflects said beliefs.
However, I know and rest in the fact that God is in total control.
You should do the same thing...

BTW, let Dobson call out President Trump's immorality, deceitfulness, and thuggery and wait for the President to respond. Let every leader of the SBC publish an open letter calling the President to repentance. President Trump's love affair with the Religious Right would end immediately, and they would be on the receiving end of one of his "tweet storms."
It is no more difficult than this...The President likes those that like him.
