Pastor salaries.

My pastor back about 20013 went home to be with the Lord. I remember his salary was around $50.000 back then. Those figures have not risen all that much. When I was younger I seem to remember meeting pastors who held down jobs to keep going.

I don’t know exactly what an appropriate pastor’s salary should be, but I’m certain that it should at least be enough to provide for themselves and their families.

The pastors income should be the median income of the community he serves.

So he can be more approachable and understand what people go through.

I just told my wife about this post. She said, haven’t you argued about this on here before? I said, yeah that’s what we do on the FFF.

I think your reasoning is flawed. I think a Pastor and all vocational ministers should be paid what they are worth to the ministry
And we’ve argued almost everything here before.

That’s what we do here, give our opinions. Some are worth more than others others though.
😁
Well, I know not one of you on here. So, how far does anyone’s opinion go on here. I mean seriously, think about it.

A question does the provision of a parsonage and funding to supply heat/AC and upkeep play into the salary? How would that be figured.
