...for someone who is still IFB.

I have a question that I can't seem to get a straight answer for.  I really only need IFB to answer...

Please, I am not going to argue.  I just want some answers.

Matthew 22:36-40

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Jesus also talked of a new commandment to love one another.

Either way.... it's rather simply understood that there has always been people claiming to keep Gods commandments and they really don't have any love for God, other people or hold a special place in their heart for Gods people. There own "kin"....

There is more than one definition of "Baptist," and the one I use is"a born again Christian who practices baptism by immersion after a person has accepted Christ."

Using those two definitions allows me to be an IFB without rejecting holiness in favor of man-made rules (as HAC does).

SwampHag, all of the commandments of the OT Law were fulfilled in Christ. However, many of them are re-stated for Christians.

Even Christians are surprised to learn that the Ten Commandments have been fulfilled in Christ. However, nine of them are re-commanded in some form in the New Testament (The Sabbath commandment is not).

(I do not see the problem and live by what is posted - I Corinthians 14:35-36, If I have a question, I ask my husband).
