Sunday School in Chicago

Enjoying the start of the Cubs vs. Pirates telecast on the MLB network. Hopefully, the Cubs will not lose their third in a row today!

Addison Russell make it 3-0 with a three run homer to left field in the bottom of the 4th!

...and a two run blast by Bryant in the fifth makes it 5-0. This lead looks safe. I guess it's time to head out to enjoy another beautiful spring afternoon in east Tennessee!

Ecclesiastes 7:16-17

Be not righteous over much; neither make thyself over wise: why shouldest thou destroy thyself ?
Be not over much wicked, neither be thou foolish: why shouldest thou die before thy time ?

A 5-0 win for Trump last night. He has extended his delegate lead!  :)

Clinton is not doing so bad for herself either!

Actually, the media often refers to women by their first names, and men by their last names. Using a last name is more formal, and this is a way, unconsciously, society  "devalues" women. This happens in newspapers and magazines, as well as on TV. Times have changed, so this isn't a common practice anymore (like it was before feminism became popular), but it still exists.

Has anyone noticed that the Democratic candidates are spoken of, primarily using their first names whereas the Republican candidates are generally referred to by their last names?

No point about it, but it was an amusing thought to me this morning.

Some looking for something nefarious about everything may conclude that it is because the news people are closer to the democrats than the republicans.

I think it may be because there is a sometimes still visible Bill Clinton and it alleviates confusion when speaking about her.

With Bernie it is more of him putting his first name out there in the slogan with his first name. Otherwise, most politicians are usually referred to by their last name IMO.

Proverbs 4:7

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all they getting get understanding.

Job 28:28

And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

Ecclesiastes12:13-14

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.  For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

YMBAHI...

during one of your Sunday School in Chicago adventures you observed a young and somewhat cocky California kid fall into the Humbolt Park lake after he failed to negotiate pulling himself across the underside of a bridge.

We interrupt this broadcast for a Matthew1323 special report!

Matthew1323 enjoyed a late Saturday afternoon MLB game in Atlanta, GA today!

After losing to Atlanta last night by a 5-1 score, the Cubs rebounded with Arrieta getting his 10th victory. Heyward, Rizzo, Montero, and Bryant all went deep in the 8-2 win!

Now back to the regularly scheduled LBGT concerns and contempt, political praise and worship, and various church update programing on the HAC forum.  :D

Thanks, for the compliment! See how much better you feel when you compliment others! There may be hope for you yet!  :)

In an unrelated non-sports story...

the location and participation of the HAC piano man has caused some very influential HAC forum members some concern.

Where is he?

Why has he seemingly 'quit' participating in leading our forum?

Has he 'compromised' the calling that he has in leading this great forum?

Has he yoked up with another forum with low standards?

Does anyone come here to just hear the other one-eyed, one-thought, and one-string banjo pickers! This needs to be addressed publicly, IMO!

It's summer time and he is probably on vacation and spending time with family at his villa in the Carribean.

If his profile summary is correct he has only posted once since June 1.

That's way under the 3 to thrive standard.

It is nice to spend time with family and enjoy the good things that come our way.

My concern too!

Maybe, he is in the planning stages of leading a Summer of '16  HAC forum posting campaign?

He has not 'quit'....he is doing a clinical blind trial for a company that is going to put Rogaine out of business.

I think the trial is over tonight, so he should be back to his (ahem!) 'normal' self tomorrow.

He has probably considered yoking up with facebook because it is easier to post pictures; however, his wife keeps changing the password and he can't get in.
