Someone asked me at work today could Trump Nominate Cruz for the opening at the Supreme court.
Could that convince Cruz to drop out and remove any fight at the convention (he did drop out tonight).
I must say I never even considered it. I assumed all nominees must be federal judges but as former Solicitor General for the State of Texas and having worked for Supreme Court Justice William Rehnquist it got me thinking,
Cruz graduated from Princeton University and from Harvard Law School. Deputy Attorney General at the United States Department of Justice, adjunct professor at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, where he taught U.S. Supreme Court litigation. He served as a law clerk for law clerk for Supreme Court Justice William Rehnquist from 1996 to 1997.
