It's about that time of year again.

"I Know You're There." The video is cued up. How would you explain to the man what he saw?

News flash, not everything is about you.
who said it was?... ... . my post was a warning to other forum members more than anything else.....a picture of a fishing hook in response to what i see as yet another dishonest thread started by you - and which is nothing but a bait... - - laid out for the purpose of drawing people in so you can berate them over something you are obsessed with...... ... ..which in this case is probably demons.... . .... which ordinarily would be a welcome diversion away from your most recent obsessions.... .. but in your case very little is welcome... .. period..... ..

.

But you're going to make it about you anyway, aren't you.
looks to me like you are trying to....... but if not then why link back to a previous thread where you laid out bait in exactly the same way i said you tried to do here?........... you don;t even have the decency to be honest and admit it....

but tell me truthfully... when did you first become aware of luke lammanas videos?..... have you known about them for years or was it when i first posted them here?.............. and why cue up to a story in one of those videos about an MP with a navajo grandparent?.....

you are pathetically predictable .... as well as perverse.... .. and i am far from being the only person on this forum who has seen that...... .

I don't know exactly. A while back.

have you known about them for years or was it when i first posted them here?..............
Not through you. Every now and then I search for things on the supernatural. I have yet to find one photo or video of a real ghost or anything paranormal. But I tend to believe soldiers. Though I don't always accept their explanations, there are a few stories that stand out.

and why cue up to a story in one of those videos about an MP with a navajo grandparent?.....
I missed that datum. It's the story of the possessed deer. My mind went immediately to the swine into which Christ sent Legion.

if you really want a clearly thought out explanation for what the MP in the video saw and heard... ... check out CWD ... also known as zombie deer syndrome... and read a list of the symptoms and the bizarre way it causes deer to act and things they have been seen doing that actually caused their own deaths.... ....everything that guy saw is something hunters have been seeing deer infected with that virus do for years now... ....

and as for the voice.... deer make a lot of weird vocalizations when under distress.... any number of things could cause a person ... who might also be under distress.... to think he heard it say specific things.... .. i won;t mention what all of those things are... ... but being out in the woods at night by yourself can cause it;s own distresses even without other stimilus...

but as for skinwalkers...

skinwalkers have become a big thing in the movies and television lately.... a lot of that is fantasy lore and hype drummed up unfortunatey by the navajo themselves for the purposes of getting attention ...entertaining the tourists... and making money.... ... hollywood latched onto it for the same reason and also makes money off the lore and the public interest in it.....

but originally skinwalkers were created as a weapon of war by the anasazi of the ancient southwest..... (one of the the predecessors and possibly ancestors of the navajo).. .... they were created by taking healthy incredibly strong young men and feeding them bella donna alkaloids.... (the base for atropine).... .by having them eat large amounts of flowers and foliage known to contain that drug.... .. mild infusion with that substance would cause their skin to redden their pupils to dilate and their pulse and respirations to increase.... increased comsumption would eventually make their sweat smell like flowers....

anasazi girls originally consumed bella donna in small amounts in order to make themselves more attractive to anasazi men........ .but they soon learned that if they consumed enough of it - it would also lead to madness...fill them with a murderous rage.. make them completely fearless and cause them to no longer feel pain... ..

tribal elders saw that and realized they could do this with young men ... increase the amount consumed... and create and formidible soldier ... so they began doing that with young men any time a war began and then turned those young men loose on the enemy....

that alone would make a person terrifying to an enemy.... but there was more... .. being under the influence of bella donna poisoning also caused them to tolerate nothing being against their skin other the inside of another creatures skin... skin freshly taken off a recent kill and thick with the bloody flesh still clinging to the inside of that skin... .

adorned in such a way a maddened warrior charging toward the enemy would appear to be whatever animal the skin they were wearing came off of......... thus the name they were given... skinwalkers.... . after a while they would discard the animal skin... take the skin off a human they had just killed and wear his skin...... that made them even more terrifying when the enemy saw a fellow warrior they knew to be dead coming back at them as if he was alive......

eventually the bella donna poisoning would kill these skin walker warriors even if the enemy didn;t..... so it was something warriors volunteered to do knowing they would die when the drug ran it;s course... ... but they did it in hopes they would account for many enemy deaths and thus be known thereafter as a great warrior......

but the big question is are the skinwalkers still being created today?..... are the skinwalkers people say they see today actually other people immitating them in the wild and simply play acting? ...or are there people who for some reason are replicating what originally caused skinwalkers by consuming the drugs and alkaloids laden flowers... and going so far as to skin animals and run around at night wearing the skin?.... and... why would they be doing this knowing it would kill them?... .... or.... as it is frequently suggested... are demons at work in any or all of this?

originally where ever there was an actual skinwalker encountered there was a living human being under that skin... ..they might have very well have been demon possessed... .. .... but the skinwalkers themselves were not originally demons... nor were they ghosts or disembodied spirits.... in explaining what they are today i am willing to accept a supernatural or demonic reason when there is no other explanation.... .. but i will always look for the scientific and flesh and blood explanations first.. ...even as a navajo myself... ...

I appreciate the work you put into establishing your case. Are you basically saying it was all in his head?

Presuming the soldier is telling the truth, I have no doubt the voice he heard wasn't articulated by the deer. It was clear. Clearer than anything he ever heard before, he said. But naturally he would think it was the deer speaking.

You said to check out CWD. So I did.

Now, I know ai isn't always right. In fact, it only 'knows' what's been trending. But I asked Grok: Have there been any reports of witnesses where the deer appear to speak?

No. There are no credible witness reports, veterinary records, or wildlife-agency accounts of deer with chronic wasting disease (CWD) appearing to speak, form words, or mimic human speech.CWD is a fatal prion disease of cervids (deer, elk, moose, and related species). Infected animals can look normal for months to years while shedding prions. In the late clinical stage they typically show:
  • Progressive weight loss (“wasting”)
  • Poor coordination, stumbling, or circling
  • Drooling, difficulty swallowing, excessive thirst and urination
  • Drooping ears, blank stare, lowered head
  • Reduced fear of people and listlessness
Those signs come from brain damage. They do not include language, directed speech, or voice mimicry. Official descriptions from sources such as the CDC and veterinary references list the behavioral changes above and nothing resembling speech.Deer do vocalize—grunts, bleats, snorts, and distress calls—but these are species-typical sounds, not words. Late-stage CWD animals are usually less responsive, not more vocal in any novel way.The idea sometimes gets mixed up with recent Appalachian “not-deer” folklore. Those stories, which spread mainly online around 2019–2021, describe animals that look roughly like deer at a distance but have forward-facing eyes, wrong joints, upright posture, or rhythmic clicking sounds. Some accounts treat them as cryptids or mimics; a few note unnatural noises. Folklore sites and skeptical reviews (for example Skeptoid’s coverage of the not-deer) explicitly distinguish these claims from CWD: prion disease can make a deer stare, stumble, or fail to flee, but it does not rearrange anatomy or produce speech. Fictional treatments (such as certain SCP entries) invent talking or voice-mimicking versions; those are not field reports. In short, sick or dying deer can behave oddly enough to unsettle witnesses, and ordinary deer sounds can be misheard at night, but nothing in the CWD literature or documented case reports supports deer that appear to speak.

I also asked: Are there reports of deer bashing their brains out against a tree?

No credible reports describe deer with chronic wasting disease deliberately “bashing their brains out” against trees. That phrasing does not match documented CWD cases or wildlife-agency accounts.Late-stage CWD can include neurological signs such as circling, stumbling, a fixed stare, and sometimes head pressing—compulsively leaning or pushing the head against a fence, tree, or other solid object. Veterinary and agency descriptions (CDC, state wildlife departments, Merck Veterinary Manual) list this as one possible behavior among others like drooling, drooped ears, and loss of coordination. It is not described as repeated, forceful self-injury aimed at the skull, and confirmed clinical animals are usually already severely emaciated and weak rather than vigorously attacking objects. What people more often see, and sometimes mislabel, includes:
  • Antler rubbing and thrashing during the rut. Bucks routinely rake and bash small trees and saplings with their antlers to remove velvet, mark territory, and work off aggression. Bloody antlers, shredded bark, and vigorous head movements are normal seasonal behavior, not disease.
  • Other illnesses or injuries. Brain abscesses, epizootic hemorrhagic disease, trauma, or certain toxins can produce disorientation or repetitive movements. These are distinct from CWD and are diagnosed differently.
  • “Zombie deer” videos. Circling or stumbling clips are frequently attributed online to CWD without testing. Wildlife biologists note that many such animals have other causes, and true end-stage CWD deer are typically found in cover, near death, and heavily scavenged rather than filmed smashing into trees.
Head pressing against an object can occur with advanced brain disease in deer and other animals, but the dramatic image of a deer battering its own skull to destruction is not a recognized feature of CWD in the scientific or management literature. Unusual deer behavior is best reported to the local wildlife agency rather than interpreted from symptoms alone; definitive CWD diagnosis requires lab testing of specific tissues after death.

But the it's-all-in-your-head rebuttal is really the answer of Materialism. It comes more from a position of unbelief than it does from faith or a dedication to the truth.

My daughter was not asleep. Not even sleepy. She was online in her room, like you are when you're posting on this forum.

A little update. She and her boyfriend came over for my birthday. They always do a Halloween thing. And I managed to squeeze in, "Don't dabble in the occult...you know...seances and Ouija board things. You might take a real ghost home with you."

I'm looking forward to the discussion with my future son in law.

She said, remembering the experience, we don't do that sh-t, Dad.

My post focused on that one story about the deer. However, many ANE gods (demons, actually) appeared as human/animal hybrids. Satan visited Adam and Eve in the form of a serpent. A demon appeared in the form of Samuel to Saul.

I appreciate the work you put into establishing your case. Are you basically saying it was all in his head?

that;s not what i am saying at all... ... if you read what i wrote on skin walkers you would have seen me say demons could be at work in some of these cases.. .. .. but i don;t believe they are there in all cases.... and i don;t look for them as the first possibility.... .

Presuming the soldier is telling the truth, I have no doubt the voice he heard wasn't articulated by the deer. It was clear. Clearer than anything he ever heard before, he said. But naturally he would think it was the deer speaking.

yes ... ...you asked AI 2 short questions..... and the rest of your post is cut and paste..... all from AI - the same technology that when asked to recreate a human form gives people 6 fingers and 3 arms.... and which frequently gets thrown off track by a single misspelled word.......

if you read what i wrote on skinwalkers - as well as many other things on the forum over the years - including what i wrote on archery and bows for beginners - you would have seen i don;t operate that way.. ... i think things through and write them out... .. what ever it is it;s my own words.......

and when it comes to zobie deer syndrome i have spoken to many hunters for years ... some of whom are soldiers.... who hunt deer on the u.s. mainland.... and some have described seeing deer injure and even kill themselves doing things similar to what the video describes...... ... .. but i guess those aren;t credible reports if they don;t fit the narrative of a software program or the agenda of a demon obsessed city boy from middle america who never spends a night alone in the woods himself........

i don;t know if it was all in his head.... the result of smoking crack.... or whether he dozed off in that tree and had a dream... or whether it might even be a made up story.... and neither do you.. .... what i did was offer an alternative to your insistence it must be demons.....

and that;s why i posted a picture of a fish hook and said originally i believed the thread was intended as bait which once bitten down on would give you the opportunity to go off on one of your obsessions again... i didn;t say the person i thought you were baiting was me or me only... it could have been anybody or everybody on the forum. ... you jumped to the conclusion that i was talking about myself there and jumped again to an assumption - accusation and pronouncement - in that order.... something you do quite frequently with everybody here and on more than one topic.....
