i didn;t know it until the next day - but i didn;t come out of that water unscathed... .. although it wasn;t the water that got me it was the sun....☀️... weeks of laying around the house - completely out of the sun recovering from surgery - left me a little more vulnerable to direct sun than i had been before... .. i got sunburned pretty bad on areas not covered by my wetsuit... .blistered in fact.... ... ... . that;s why i;m lounging around the house now watching tv and playing around on the internet..... .. but i will be ok in a couple more days..........

it made me wonder though..... we know jimmy carter swam in radioactive water and still lived to 100... .. but i wonder if he felt at least a little bit burned after drying off..... . would he have set off a geiger counter back then?...☢️ ... i felt like i could have set off a smoke alarm monday....🔥

i just read a little about that... .... .. i don;t understand much of it but it sounds
like scary stuff..... . that kind of heavy water (D2O).... ... is completely different
from the hawaiian versions of "heavy water"... (H3O).. ....

here is one example of heavy water hawaii style... ...... .which locally just means
any water condition that would drown people not accustomed to it or trained for it..
(i.e. mainlanders and tourists etc)... ..

company here for a while called H3O and also a tv channel dedicated to
surfing with that name....

That kind of heavy water is scary too! I saw some of that Hawaiian heavy water on the news just a couple days ago…

that;s when they realize a beach front house might not be the picture of paradise they thought it was.....

but the force of the water coming in is not even half the problem.... the biggest damage is done by the water rushing back out - and carrying everything the incoming wave knocked loose back out to sea with it.......... .... that;s also what poses the most danger to people too as they are most in danger of being washed out to sea.... ........

and then when you realize that;s a 2 story house the wave just washed over.. ..😳... ... it;s time to make a rapid relocation inland.......🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

That kind of water danger on the coast and tropics just means I’m staying up my holler in the hills 😁, and then there’s Sneaker Waves (similar to what you just described)…
