Is that the Dave Douglass that was a missionary in the Philippines or was it the real estate gal's husband. Tina, I think.

Yes his wife is the breadwinner in the family bringing in the big bucks. He doesn't need much pay from ministry with all the money she makes.

Two location VBS next week, Baptist City and Hammond.

FBC security report.

Many people reported hearing an explosion right after morning church services let out. Here are some of the details and photos of the incident.
At approximately 12:20 pm, July 31st 2016, several of our officers working at FBC responded the area of the alley behind Building "I" and the Fridus Building after hearing a loud explosion.
At approximately 12:21pm one of the responding officers located a medal tank that had exploded. Officers observed that the explosion had also knocked down some low voltage network wires in the area.
At approximately 12:25pm a second tank was located further east in the alley, behind building "I". The second tank had not appeared to be damaged but had been thrown approximately 150 feet away from the other tank. An immediate perimeter was set up for safety.
At approximately 12:31pm Hammond Police arrived and requested Hammond Fire to come and check the second tank for possible damage.
At approximately 12:47pm Hammond Fire arrived on scene and assisted in checking the area and checking on the damaged tanks.
At approximately 1:10pm the area was cleared and deemed safe by the Fire Department, Police Department, and our Department.
It is believed that the company, which was demolishing two of our buildings, is the owner of the two tanks, and had them on site for work related purposes. This is believed to be an accidental incident and was isolated to the fenced in area around the alley and the demolition sight.
Thankfully, No one was injured in the explosion. Also a big thank you to the security officers, police officers, and firemen that ran to respond to the area. Their brave efforts are noticed and appreciated.

Someone needs a selfie-stick.

Might help the focus problem.

Good to see Mrs. Hyles go back to her roots, she was always a Southern Baptist at heart it was so hard for her at FBCH always under the spotlight.

Notice how happy she looks.

But was it enough noise to wake up the sleeping back-row Baptist HACkers?

This happened after baptism and dismissal so the sleepers would be on the way out.

I was in the auditorium building and did not hear it at all. This was across State St. from the Hammond Public Library.

One friend who was driving East on State St. towards the Public library said he heard it and could feel the blast.

There was a fireball and a cloud of dust and some rocks flying.

The tank that blew seems to be an oxygen tank and the other is acetylene and part of the cutting torch set up.

Here is a recent wide shot from HAC for evaluation. You can just about do a headcount to get your attendance figure.

It's a good thing you took a wide shot to fit Tony  H in it.
