I've read your POI, TS, and want to read MSwWE. I've got a LOT to read this summer!Currently reading:
Wild At Heart - meh, not a fan
Are Miraculous Gifts for Today - interesting so far (about half way thru)
Finished reading:
Person of Interest - must read!
Twisted Scripture - pretty good
Habits of Grace - OK
Misreading Scripture with Western Eyes - very good
I've not read anything else of Schaefer's, but Shane is good. It's a classic Western. I decided this year I wanted to read some Westerns, a genre I've basically neglected, and this was one of the ones recommended as essential. (I've read it before--it was assigned reading in seventh grade.)I've never read Jack Schaefer. Or most of these writes. Is Schaefer good? I used to collect L'Amour, and had all of his westerns.
Louis L'Amour and Jim Conover are two that I read. Jim is an old family friend. He's written many Western books, plays, and movies.I ordered it, and if it is good, I will buy more. Like I said, I collected Louis L'Amour books for years and had all of them, based on my 1985 recollection that John R. Rice said in a Sword article that he had a collection of them. Hence, they must be acceptable to a young impressionable christian like me. (tongue in cheek)
