Alvin Martinez Has Two Wives?????

Some of the worst people that have ever drawn a breath on the face of this earth...... had ONLY one wife..........

People can sure choose some of the silliest things to form a doctrine.....
 
From reading the article, Martinez apparently had a wife (and maybe children) before joining up with Jack Trieber to come to land of fruits and nuts. Now in the Bay Area (where he resides) he has a wife and children.

So when I read the article it sounds like he got married right before coming to the States. He claims they were never physical and his pastor/father in law pressured him. Since they don't have divorce in the Philippines, I think he was able to successfully get an annulment. So what's interesting is that as long as you follow the Catholic system, he is considered to have only been marries once.

Looks like poor Alvin was a victim of "preacher rule" imposed by his Father-in-Law Number One (not to be confused with concurrent Father-in-Law Number Two). Looks like Alvin isn't being held personally responsible for this mess by the Mannagod at North Valley Baptist Church where he serves as Assistant Pastor as well as Bible teacher at Golden State Baptist College, cuz he was only following orders from the previous Mannagod, who forced him against his will to show up for the wedding ceremony for a woman he hardly even knew.

My guess is the 1st or wannabee father in law was trying to get his daughter to the US.

Yes it is. You're ignoring the many other requirements in that verse to focus on what you believe about the "husband of one wife".

Like I said before. Some of the worst people that have ever drawn a breath on this earth had ONLY one wife.

Not to mention the fact that I have known IFBs that believe like you do until they got divorced themselves. Then when it actually "feel on them".... they changed their mind.

Ultimately, it really is about being gifted. Those gifted by God are what we need.

Well, for me it doesn't matter either way. My wife already told me how many pieces of me they would find if I tried leaving. But if you think God is telling you to get yourself a harem go for it-I'm sure with your abilities you can find some Scripture to support it.

You didn't actually read the document?

The order of annulment was REVERSED. He still be married to that woman! Shades of Kent Hovind!
 
So will this affect Alvin's record sales?? I digress.

So was he Catholic in the Philippines before Trieber converted him? Mormon?
