Anti-Schaap or other IFB uber-clowns have always been a minority of all posts on the FFF in any incarnation. Why do you assume that their own downfall is a "success" for this forum? So far as I know, no one here ever called the police on 'em.
As I said:
all forum use has decreased on the Net since the FFF's inception. Being moved around from address to address and owner to owner hasn't helped, but 10 years ago there was also no Facebook, no Twitter. The way people spend their time on the Internet has changed with the times and technologies. It's not us. It's universal.
