How to Succeed at God's Work

Man, it's been three days and the scorners are still hopping mad about me talking about people who seize positions God doesn't want them to have.

What specific scorner has a specific position that God doesn't want them to have?

Okay, RIFB, I wanted to think carefully before answering you. I think you're more intelligent than your post shows, but you're letting anger cloud your thinking. And you're angry because you respect scorners enough to believe their false accusations.

oh, so you know my emotional state and know what Im feeling? No, I'm  trying to figure where you're going with all this.

This isn't a blog--I am doing something I started when I was still a student: helping victims of HAC.

Who is a victim here and how do you help while blogging and call people names here? You are just pontificating your point here and wrong as you are, you just keep going without wrapping it up.

You don't need to recover from being an IFB; you need to accept the authority of God's Word over the authority of people who have gone wrong. Start seeking God's blessings and you'll feel a lot better when He starts blessing you.

And apparently my handle went over your head. it's meant to be funny. I am convinced through the Scriptures that many what I was taught at my previous IFB ministry was wrong; Monergism-synergism, liberty- manmade rules, confessions-old paths etc etc.
I don't have to seek God's blessings, He already has through Christ and will already bless me through my life, that's the hope and peace we have in Him.

"If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you." John 15:7

Notice that this promise overlaps God's promise that if you cling closely to His Words, He will bless you.

If Christ is something that you do on Sunday while ignoring Him the rest of the time, you're not abiding in Him. Following Christ at work and at recreation and in everything else brings you answered prayer. 1 John 2:6 tells us "He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked."

John 15:5 tells us ""I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." This relates back to the original theme: how to succeed in God's work. A Christian who abides in Christ doesn't have to sit around empty-handed, whistling Dixie about how God is blessing him because he is obedient. A Christian who abides in Christ bears much fruit.

Now, when you learn from a scorner, you are learning from a person who has no wisdom, because "A scorner seeks wisdom and finds it not."

You spend just as much time on this thread scorning people who question your ideas, as you do teaching them.

Ergo, what does that make you?

It's going to take him a day and a half to figure out what "ergo" means!

They aren't bad but I prefer homemade waffles.

I suspect that there are far more people who refuse to accept and surrender to the "position" God has in mind for them than there are who take positions that do not "belong to" them (whatever that means).

As for being successful "well done thou good and faithful servant" will be more than enough for me.

No such thing.

If calmly repeating "no such thing" every time you post lies about God's providence is "hopping mad," you're not only ignorant, you're delusional.

Still hopping mad I see.  ;)

Readers, I don't mind the scorners being hopping mad because I made an issue out of people who seize positions God doesn't want them to have, but the point for today is how to get prayers answered--which God doesn't do for scorners.

"If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you." John 15:7

" but the point for today is how to get prayers answered"... Vince Massi
So there is  a way for us to get our prayers answered rather than God working in us and through us to accomplish His will?
So I can get that Lamborghini that I have wanted? Or does God just change my heart that I want to fulfill His purpose and that He is glorified?

I believe he is both...which makes him a great danger in any church that would have him teach.

Haven't you heard Scott? Vince kicked the Holy Spirit out of the Trinity and took His place.

GASP!! Oh no, now I suppose I'm a scorner too.  :o

"Haven't you heard Scott? Vince kicked the Holy Spirit out of the Trinity and took His place."

The day will come, He Died4 you, when you and your evil tongue will stand before the judgment seat of Christ and explain that statement.

So he will have to explain to God about a sin that is as far as the east is from the west?

Why will he have to explain a sin that God has forgiven and forgotten?

Matthew, it is common practice for scorners to reject and disobey God's Word. When they turn to blasphemy in order to fight Scripture, that is even more serious.

Jesus said that we will have to give account of every idle word that we speak. When you allow scorners to influence you to join in their sins, then you speak words that you will have to give account of.

So how many will you have to give an account for Vince?

T-Bone, the Word of God tells us that fools make a mock of sin. I don't know if the scorners have influenced you to go farther into sin than you meant to, or if you really do support sin as much as your posts indicate. But you've spoken far too much sin in far too many posts. It is no surprise that you'll take a public stand in defense of blasphemy.
