How to Succeed at God's Work

Walt, I've been wanting to talk to you for some time, and this is as bad an opportunity as any.

Over the years, a few readers have stood up to the scorners on the FFF, but you weren't one of them. If you had taken a strong stand against disobeying God's commands not to judge, speak evil of the brethren, and scorn, you would have been a leader. God would have blessed you with an audience, and the scorners would have used you as a target for their scorn.

When I did it, you still could have done some good by taking a stand against judging, speaking evil, and scorning, but then you wouldn't have been the leader. Instead, you presented yourself as a compromise leader. As a compromiser, you posted that I was twisting Scripture by saying that "You who judge do the same thing" means that "You who judge do the same thing." You also posted that it is ridiculous to believe that "You who judge do the same thing" means"You who judge do the same thing." When I made an issue of it, you stopped criticizing God's Word, but you didn't retract your attacks.

And now you've returned as a scorner.

Readers, I want to give you two valuable lessons I've learned over the decades:

1) Never trust a compromiser.
2) Never trust someone who does wrong to make himself a leader.

IDIOT ALERT....Vince is the male incarnation of Joan of Arc!

You don't have to read here very long before you realize, 'Vince isn't quite right'!

I am trying to imagine a family get together with Vince and Jeri at the dinner table together. Talking past each other in heavy doses of hyperbole, salted with a steady stream of missing (or failing to get to) the point.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

God promises success in return for a two-fold dedication to His Word--both outward and inward. What does "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth," mean? To have success, your mouth must be full of God's Word. If your mouth is full of judging, then you are only talking about your own sins. If your mouth is full of speaking evil of the brethren, then you are judging God's Law while disobeying it yourself. If your mouth is full of scorn, God will not give you wisdom, because you are double-minded and unstable in all your ways.

Still can't define success? Or won't?

Vince can't seem to get past a) "God's wisdom gives you success" and b) "Scorners don't get wisdom."

He must be getting paid by the word.

Success is simply "pleasing God". Sometimes it can be seen and some times it can't. Even when it can be seen, it doesn't mean a person's motives are pure. Only God can tell such things.

1Ti 5:24  Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.
1Ti 5:25  Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid.

Praise, T-Bone, and Balaam, when you disobey God's commands not to judge, not to scorn, and not to speak evil of the brethren, you need to be extra careful in checking your facts. Since God is not with you, you are more likely than normal to make mistakes.

Walt posted everything that I said he posted, and it can be documented from his posts.

Readers, I repeat the advice I have learned over the decades:

1) Never trust a compromiser
2) Never trust a person who does wrong in order to make himself a leader.

rsc2a made an interesting point about my being against compromise, while attending an Assemblies of God church and being an IFB.

My wife and I attend the only soul-winning church in the entire Gringo Zone. It stands without compromise for the Word of God--no pagan philosophy, no modernism, no holding the authority of a translation over the Word of God. My church does not ignore the entire chapters Paul devotes to spiritual gifts--we teach and practice them.

The AOG defrocked Jimmy Swaggart for his immorality, while FBCH pronounced Dave Hyles restored and exempt from obeying Scripture. The AOG disciplined Jim Bakker, while HAC gave Jim Vineyard an honorary doctorate during the Vineyard's Gangster scandal.

While Baptists have major problems with modernism, Calvinism, and KJOism, the AOG has successfully kept all these errors out.

Every New Testament church Paul wrote to had problems, but Paul didn't tell Christians to stop going to church. But Paul did tell Christians to stand strongly for the Word of God.

"Never trust a compromiser..."

Once again, you show what a complete idiot and hypocrite you are...you warn against judging and your post is full of judging.  Physician heal thyself!

In other words, you don't know what success looks like biblically...thank you!

By all means, Vince, continue to "repeat" your bumper-sticker slogans. It's just a reminder that you have no substance to contribute to these topics despite initiating the threads.

Ransom, when I first encountered you, you were traveling around the forum making false accusations against God's people.God never blessed you, and He never gave you an audience. By latching onto this thread, you are able to disobey God's command not to scorn to a larger audience than ever before.

Joshua 1:8 tells us that our mouths are to be filled with God's Word. People who fill their mouths with scorn, judging, speaking evil of the brethren, etc., are not eligible for the blessings that come from taking a strong stand for God's Word. And the second half of the verse tells us to meditate on His Word day and night.

Psalm1:1-3 tells us "Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper."

Vince, when I first encountered you, you were bloviating your way through threads in which you expended a lot of wind saying almost nothing, treating this forum as your own personal blog and, when people questioned your assertions, alternately ignoring or getting seriously butthurt at them.

Obviously, some things never change.

No, Ransom. You are a scorner and little else.

You don't have grace, because grace comes from humility, humility comes from submitting to God's authority, and you don't submit to God's commands not to scorn.

You don't have wisdom, because a scorner cannot find wisdom.  And because God surely scorns scorners, God surely scorns you.

You don't have the blessings that come from standing for God's Word, because your mouth is filled with scorn (along with pagan philosophy).

You have never had a large audience. By latching on to the audience that God has blessed me with, you are able to scorn to a larger crowd than ever before.

However, I'm not accusing you of lying when you accuse me of teaching nothing. I am teaching God's Word, which has no effect on you.

You are a windbag, and nothing else.

It's also very funny to see someone who takes skepticism about his vapid biblical teaching as an attack on the word of God itself, then accuse someone else of lacking humility.

A pompous and pious windbag might I add.

Large audience ..bwhahaha .  Well you might be right...everyone likes a clown!

Readers, I did not expect my post to do Ransom or the other scorners any good, because a scorner does not listen to reproof, but let me explain it to you.

Proverbs 14:6 tells us “A scoffer seeks wisdom and does not find it,” That’s it. Ransom does not have wisdom, and he cannot get it.

Psalm 19:7 tells us “The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple;” If Ransom were to give heed to the Word of God that I am teaching, he would gain wisdom. But God does not let him see it.

When Ransom says that there is nothing in what I say, he is not lying. He literally sees nothing when he reads God’s Word.

Romans 2:1 tells us that Ransom is describing himself. His scron is simply scorn, without intelligent direction. But “wisdom is profitable to direct,” and if Ransom had wsidom, he could attack God’s people and God’s Word more effectively than he already does.
