Jury finds Trump guilty!

12 jurors found him guilty

And it only takes one of the twelve dissenting to throw out the whole trial and start over.

So is the case against Trump watertight (seems unlikely), or are his lawyers so bad at their jobs that they couldn't find one juror with reasonable doubts?

Seems unlikely to me there were any such jurors in the selection pool. Why do you think the Dems tried this in NY? The had the jury pool they needed there.

The necessary response is now obvious, although it won’t be pleasant. Donald Trump should immediately create and publish a list of ten high ranking Democrat criminals who he will have arrested when he takes office. First on the list should be Joe Biden. Second should be Joe Biden’s crackhead son.
In the meantime, Republican AGs all over the country should pursue their own indictments. Border states should charge government officials for deliberately contributing to human trafficking at the southern border. If Donald Trump’s “hush money” was illegal because it interfered with an election, then so is importing millions of foreign nationals every year. That’s the biggest form of election interference imaginable. Time to empanel a grand jury right away, in the reddest city in the reddest state on the map. Better issue a gag order on Joe Biden, too, for good measure. Put corrupt Democrats on trial in front of juries that already hate them before the trial even begins. Does that mean we’re “stooping to their level”? No. It means that we must stop pretending that we live in a country that no longer exists.
...
Frankly, I don’t want to hear elected Republicans complaining about this verdict. I don’t need to see their tweets and statements condemning it. The only thing I want to hear from these people is which Democrats they will have arrested. Don’t tell us that you’re sad about the verdict. We don’t give a damn about your feelings. We want to see corrupt Democrat criminals frog marched on camera in handcuffs. Don’t whine about the double standard. Force the Democrats’ own standards upon them. Drag them there kicking and screaming. If you won’t do that, then just shut up.

True. 11 of the jurors were found to be hostile about Trump. One didnt like him.

Besides, the jury instructions weree composed in such a way so they didn't need to agree on the (unspecified) crime. They only needed to infer, by themselves, that he was guilty (of some unstated crime).

The case didn't need to be lawful. It bought Biden time. An appeal would take place well after the election.

It has nothing to do about real justice... just a lawfare ploy to keep Trump off the campaign trail. Communism.

Well folks, this is what happens when you run around on ur old lady. Let this be a lesson.

It was a farce. It was supposed to be a jury made up of his peers. Everyone knows, and Donald will tell you, that he has no peers.

What if it was a Democrat? Democrats wouldn't go after their own and we know how they'd react if a Republican wanted to try one of them for the same thing.

I believe he slept with that woman. Donald Trump is not a morally faithful man. His wife definitely married him for the lifestyle he’s able to provide her.

In other words, she knew who she was marrying.

Proof for me is the life he’s lived his entire life. People don’t change.

Donald isn’t one of them. That’s one reason we like him.

I don’t know

I have always taught my kids that you can choose your sin but you can’t choose your consequences. You also can’t limit the consequences to yourself.
Right. If he wouldn’t have committed adultery than the outcome may be different.

I suppose they would have used some other pretext to drag him into court but we wouldn’t have Christians minimizing sexual sin.

If he didn’t have sex with her why did he pay her? If her story was false and she demanded money he should have turned her in for attempted extortion.

Forget It (by Judd Mortimer Lewis)

If you see a tall fellow ahead of a crowd,

A leader of men, marching fearless and proud,

And you know of a tale whose mere telling aloud

Would cause his proud head in anguish be bowed,

It's a pretty good plan to Forget It.

If you know of a skeleton hidden away

In a closet, and guarded, and kept from the day

In the dark, and whose showing, whose sudden display

Would cause grief and sorrow and pain and dismay

It's a pretty good plan to Forget It.

If you know of a tale that will darken the joy

Of a man or a woman, a girl or a boy,

That will wipe out a smile or the least bit annoy

A fellow, or cause any gladness to cloy,

It's a pretty good plan to Forget It.

I know Donald Trump is a public figure just as Joe Biden is but why should we be so interested in their personal lives as opposed to the policies they publicly promote. Neither man has a Christian testimony so they both act like lost men in their personal lives. If anyone on this forum really wanted to be a public servant by running for office and someone else on this forum knew of some past hidden sins they may have been guilty of would it be Christian to dig up dirt for the sake of politics? I'm afraid we are all guilty of this (pointing at myself) but we should focus on what their policies are instead of talking about their personal lives with delight. I pray every day that God will change the hearts of our leaders. I read the poem by Judd Mortimer Lewis several years ago and it stays on my mind.

Titus 3:2 "To speak evil of no man..." (slander)
"It may be necessary, when we are called to state what we know of his character, to say things which are not at all in his favor, or things which he has said or done that were wrong; but,
(1) We should never do this for the purpose of doing him injury, or so as to find a pleasure in it; and,
(2) Where it is necessary to make the statement, it should be so as to do him no injustice.
We should give no improper coloring. We should exaggerate no circumstances. We should never attempt to express ourselves about his motives, or charge on him bad motives - for we know not what his motives were." (Albert Barnes)

I would urge everyone to listen to the interview with Donald Trump Jr. by Tucker Carlsen which spells out very clearly the injustice of the kangaroo court that tried the former President.
