So close your eyes and tell me.......

My experience tells me that all IFB churches are Hyles-type churches.

I used to think this, but it was only because the Hyles fan just talked him up so much. I have learned that there are many IFB churches that are not Hyles-type at all. There are Reformed IFB churches that don't know who Hyles is. A friend of mine went to an IFB church that also had never heard of him.

They claim, oh no we’re r not like the others. But go on a Sunday morning. All the men are dressed alike, all the women are dressed alike, all the teens are dressed alike, all the children are dressed alike.

They demand the same things of the people that Hyles did, it may look a little different but it’s the same.

As another friend of mine says, when you "demand" things of people, you are putting pressure on them to conform. It is far better to let them be transformed by the Holy Spirit from within.

We’ve literally went to 5 countries them 5 different IFB churches in different states yiu read that correctly in different states and they were all the same. They may not know who Jack Hyles is but they are being handed down the structure in which he operated.

....and I was right in the middle of the white washed sepulchers, feeling all self-righteous in dresses that covered my knees. "And such were some of you...."
So was I. Absolutely. That first time I went to First Baptist Hammond Thanksgiving 1986, I immediately saw that they were pharisees, but I didn't run from them or fully reject them. I was in a church like that so I learned to adopt certain of the rules so that I could be one of the cool fundamentalists, and fit in and get kudos and get liked. I am ashamed of myself. I am of the opinion that the religion that Jack Hyles peddled was not Christianity at all.
