If I waited to vote for a Christian President..... I'd never vote. I don't vote based on theology.

"Fox News is liberal"
"Megyn Kelly is a liberal"
"Roger Ailles is a liberal"
"Carly Fiarina is a liberal"
"Rubio is a liberal"
"Cruz is establishment"
"National Review is liberal/establishment"
Etc, etc, etc.
People who write or believe such things are just plain IGNORANT. And these are the same people salivating over Trump who has been the real liberal until at least the last couple of years. I guess fear can do crazy things to people.
Oh...and for the person who claimed I'm "establishment" (boogety boogety), please explain. I'm a real conservative and still have the Pat Buchanan for President (1996) yard sign to prove it.It's these type of people who just want to burn the house down if there's not 100% ideological purity. Last election they were content to let Obama win when he was beatable. This time they say just let Hillary win if they can't have their perfect candidate. Next cycle they will no doubt complain and stay home again. Bring on the fiddles.

Megyn Kelly is a liberal. Carly "Fiorina" is a liberal. Cruz is a panderer.
The rest of the names you mentioned are part of the Republican establishment that favor the rich elite. The candidates that a have to sell their soul to get elected.
I'm tired of such nonsense. Before the last 6 years of Obama, gay marriage, obumercare and etc.... I was right with you John John. Right with you. I supported Mitt and McCain and voted for both. I changed my mind. Mitt lost the race because of his "rich" comments and the "rich" are out of touch with reality.

Please explain clearly how:
* I am "establishment"
* Megyn Kelly is liberal
* Carly Fiorina is liberal
I'll give you a little slack on Cruz because EVERY person who has ever run for president has pandered somewhat. Some are worse than others.![]()
I will not go along with those who want to play the class envy game. Romney was spot on with what he said about the 47%. There's not a thing in the world wrong with being rich...it just depends on how you got there and what you do with it. (And probably not going bankrupt strategically four times when it could have been avoided.). Conservatives are not against wealth obtained fairly. Many want to obtain it as well.

As the head of the merger between HP and Compaq, she increased the size of the company and also raised the companies debt by billions. Does that sound familiar? She later laid off many employees. I knew one of them personally. He died of cancer recently. She pretty much ruined Compaq and killed the Alpha. If you've ever been in the tech world.... that might matter.

Carly does this and she's liberal, but Trump does it and it's "good business practice".
The wealthy have more to give. I don't want anyone to have to give much of anything. However, so can afford it more than others.
Romney made a lot of poor Republicans mad. They didn't vote. He lost.

Well you have clearly proved yourself as someone who has no idea what a real conservative or liberal is. THAT is not a conservative tenant by any means. I say again, low information voters.
The rest of your "specifics" were about as specific as Trump is on his great plans.

Typical establishment republican. When you lose. You claim to be smarter and more informed than others.
I'm a conservative and have always expected the rich to give more than the poor. Always. This isn't against conservative principles. Jesus said the same thing. Paul said the same thing. I don't think government should force people to give through taxation but if they do.... then the rich should be taxed more. I don't see how you can reject such a principle. In fact, I bet if you phrased the question this way..... every Republican in the primary would say the same thing. They support a graduated tax system. Even the flat tax is graduated with those buying more paying more.
Here. Let me show a small bit of intelligence. I can't say I originated it ...... I got it from Jesus.
From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
When a candidate or supposed "news anchor" asks leading, biased.... gotcha questions. They are speaking from their heart. They are liberal.... and it shows in their speech.

And yet, he keeps getting stronger in the polls.
You know how the establishment wizards feel....I only hope that they learn from this teachable moment....the people who actually do the voting are fed up with them.
The more they criticize Trump, the stronger he seems to get....

"If I sound dismayed, it?s only because I am. Conservatives have spent more than 60 years arguing that ideas and character matter. That is the conservative movement I joined and dedicated my professional life to. And now, in a moment of passion, many of my comrades-in-arms are throwing it all away in a fit of pique. Because ?Trump fights!?

I read a great article from Jonah Goldberg today about Trump and conservatives. Here are a few nuggets:
"For instance, my friend John Nolte over at Breitbart is one. He constantly celebrates Trump because Trump has all the right enemies and defies the conventional rules governing politics and media. But this is not an argument for Trump as a serious presidential candidate. It is really no argument at all. It is catharsis masquerading as principle, venting and resentment pretending to be some kind of higher argument."
"It is entirely possible that conservatives sweat the details of tax policy too much. Once in office, a president must deal with political realities that render the fine print of a campaign pamphlet as useful as a battle plan after the enemy is met. But in the last month, Trump has contemplated a flat tax, the fair tax, maintaining the current progressive tax system, a carried-interest tax, a wealth tax, and doing nothing. His fans respond, ?That shows he?s a pragmatist!? No. It shows that he has absolutely no ideological guardrails whatsoever. Ronald Reagan once said, ?Government is like a baby. An alimentary canal with a big appetite at one end and no sense of responsibility at the other.? Trump is close to the reverse. He?s a mouth at the wrong end of an alimentary canal spewing crap with no sense of responsibility."
"I understand the ...compulsion to celebrate anyone who doesn?t take crap from the mainstream media. But when Newt Gingrich brilliantly eviscerated the press in 2012, there was a serious ideological worldview behind it. Trump?s assaults on the press have only one standard: whether the journalist in question is favorable to Trump or not. If a journalist praises him, that journalist is ?terrific.? If the journalist is critical of Trump he is a ?loser?.
"...I am tempted to believe that Donald Trump?s biggest fans are not to be relied upon in the conservative cause. I have hope they will come to their senses. But it?s possible they won?t. And if the conservative movement and the Republican party allow themselves to be corrupted by this flim-flammery, then so be it. My job will be harder, my career will suffer, and I?ll be ideologically homeless (though hardly alone). That?s not so scary. Conservatism began in the wilderness and maybe, like the Hebrews, it would return from it stronger and ready to rule. But I?m not leaving without a fight. If my side loses that fight, all I ask is you stop calling the Trumpian cargo cult ?conservative? and maybe stop the movement long enough for me to get off."
