Also, Will Kinney has written a great article on this issue concerning the spelling changes and the fixing of printer errors. You can see the article by clicking on the link given below:

Will Kinney claimed in his article that "However some later Oxford editions changed this to: "Beersheba, AND Sheba, and...". "

Evidently Will Kinney is misinformed and uninformed about KJV editions since some later Oxford edition was not the one which first changed "or Sheba" to "and Sheba."  The king's printer in London in 1616 and 1617 editions had "and Sheba" as did the standard 1629 Cambridge edition.

Joshua 19:2 [Beer-sheba, & Sheba--1560 Geneva; Beer-sabe, Sabe--1602 Bishops]

Will Kinney once claimed that the 1762 Cambridge edition was the perfect or inerrant edition of the KJV even though that edition has a number of important differences compared to present KJV editions.

Which edition?
What year?
Says who?

According to Scrivener, 72% of the approximately 400 corrections were completed by the time of the printing of the 1938 Cambridge Edition.

By the year 1850, according to David W. Daniels, all corrections of printing errors had been made. Also, the spelling had been standardized. Therefore, the spelling changes had been completed as well.

Once the printing errors had been fixed, and typographical and spelling had been updated and standardized, the precious King James Holy Bible had been purified. And therefore, once it had been purified, there are no longer any improvements made since it had already been purified and perfected.

You failed to document your claim and give the source and page number. Your claim seems to be second-hand from an unreliable KJV-only source instead of directly from Scrivener.

Likely, you made a typing error and meant 1638 Cambridge edition instead of 1938.

David Daniell [a scholar who is not the same person as your unreliable KJV-only author David W. Daniels] maintained that “Scrivener listed about fifteen hundred” errors or changes (Bible in English, p. 460).

James D. Price indicated that Scrivener listed 1,088 important changes that he considered properly made and another 405 changes that he asserted should not have been made for a total of 1,493 changes (King James Onlyism, pp. 100-101).

David Norton did a study of “roughly 1,550 significant variations” in the KJV text, including the Apocrypha (Textual History of the KJB, p. 30).

The problem is that David W. Daniells is misinformed since his statement is actually incorrect or false.  I have been checking over 2,000 places in over 400 editions of the KJV printed from 1611 until today, and I know for a fact that Daniels' claim is incorrect.

For one example, a printing error introduced in the 1769 Oxford edition at Exodus 6:21 was not corrected in Oxford and Cambridge KJV editions until the 1880's.

Few things irk me more than the fact that there is a reputable scholar named David Daniell (the biographer of William Tyndale and author of The Bible in English), but also a Chick whackadoo named David Daniels.

In fact, it would not surprise me if I learned that the KJV-onlyists deliberately exploited this similarity to cause confusion, or to feign credibility.

Why, that would be tantamount to imagining something less than thoroughgoing honesty and integrity on the part of some KJVOists!  :p
