Time is Eternal.

Length, depth, temperature, speed, distance, volume, area, weight, density ...

These, like time, are things that are measured. God is immeasurable. God is infinite and you cannot measure infinity. With any measure.

High fiver!!! Philosophers like to say "God is space" too... it goes along with their little views of God.

I never said God is space. Why are you applying such nonsense to me? Stop having a theoretical discussion with some imaginary "Philosopher" that isn't here.... Philosopher.....

Why do you pretend you don't use philosophy in your theology?

Why must you insist that its an indication of the beginning of time?

David told us so, "Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God." (Ps 90:2).

How does that have anything to do with anything? Okay. I admit. God created the "whole world". I don't see anything that says God created time. Try again.

Your view of eternity is myopic... one dimensional.... and assumes you have the ability to understand eternity. We can only think in terms of time, a linear, successive equation. To suggest that describes eternity, and to say "God is Time" causes a limitation on God's character, undermining His infinitude.

I said time is limitless/endless. In its entirety, unmeasurable. Why are you dishonestly putting words in my mouth?

So, here we are... in a created world, structured with a beginning and end, punctuated by events that can be located within our sphere of time.

There is God... above His creation, not limited by our minds.

Then you obviously think you know something I don't. Why is it then.....you're making an argument for the unknowable and then claiming you know something?

Because they do... if you don't then you are simply picking and choosing.

Why do you pretend you don't use philosophy in your theology?

I do! My philosophy (worldview) is theologically-driven. Theology first, philosophy that matches, second.

High fiver!!!

That's what you call a 5 point Calvinist. They are obviously.... HIGH.... :)

Either that or you're praise a 5 pointer... which can it be?

The reason you don't see is that you are unwilling to examine how this verse complements Genesis 1.1. You can't even see how "Alpha/Omega" complements "Beginning/End"

I'm not picking and choosing. You're the one choosing to detour to an argument that I haven't made. Time and Space may be relative in certain respects but not in everything. Regardless, this is external evidence to the Scriptures. Do you know what "external evidence" means?

I do! My philosophy (worldview) is theologically-driven. Theology first, philosophy that matches, second.

Same here. Stop bashing philosophers and pretending you're not one yourself. Its entirely dishonest. You're implying I'm one of these "philosophers" that do so many "bad things"....

You say that beginning and end indicates time. You then claim you can't see how Alpha and Omega complements Beginning and End????

Really.... ITS THE SAYING THE SAME THING.!!!

Time is definitely eternal in the check-out line at Walmart.

God doesn't do anything in order. Everything is all over the place. He really doesn't use sequence to fulfill His purpose.

Everything is just all over the place..... He just uses time in this world.....

Read. I've said somethings in this thread. It might help you #1.

I wasn't asking about your reasons (which I have read, and they appear to be asinine), but your motivation for believing something so foolish.

Except you don't like the phrase "God is the Greek Alphabet."

It's all capricious...

No God isn't in the future but He is the future.

Is God also space? Or does your pantheism only extend into that one dimension?

Why would I believe God is space?
Add to the list of things PY is ignorant about: the theory of relativity.

Not ignorant at all. I just don't take a theory as fact. You can treat them that way all you want. Teach your kids about it. Maybe you can have a discussion about it the next to you decide to share some booze with them. There is a reason why they call it "taking a snort".

I image.... in like manner......"God is Love" translates to "God is L, O, V, and E?

Care to explain the difference in your approach?

My motivation is truth. What are your reasons for believing anything?

Care to read the entire verse and show some consistency?

There is not one single verse in the Scritpures that declare "time" or "seasons" ceasing to exist. God's Eternal, logical, progressive.... purpose...... exists beyond anything to do with His creation.

I am sure this has been covered (I am lazy, I didn't read 11 pages)  but if seasons were created it means that they didn't exist before and therfore cannot be eternal.
