Time is Eternal.

Okay, let's say that time has always been.

Let's also say that time is a method of measurement.

Let's also agree that God is eternally existent, having always been without a beginning.

Prior to the  creation, what was time measuring? Or better yet what was God measuring with time?

There is not one single verse in the Scritpures that declare "time" or "seasons" ceasing to exist. God's Eternal, logical, progressive.... purpose...... exists beyond anything to do with His creation.

I am sure this has been covered (I am lazy, I didn't read 11 pages)  but if seasons were created it means that they didn't exist before and therfore cannot be eternal.

He says "God is Time."

Care to explain the difference in your approach?

Care to read the entire verse and show some consistency?

I read the entire verse. How about addressing the OP and we will continue?

Seasons are nothing more than purpose. Will a change in the weather indicate seasons to use, it goes far beyond a change in the weather.

The fact of the matter is very clear. The verses I quoted clearly details there is a "time" for everything. This does not end when this life ends. This doesn't not cease to be true when we call the Eternal heavens our home. There is a time for everything. Its link to God's Eternal purpose.

If all of you would be honest and deal with the OP, then this would be much easier. I know you're not picking around the edges to find fault but that is certainly what others are doing.

I have said that time is nothing more than sequence. Order. Progression. The very core of cause and effect.

Forget about how its measured. Who cares if its based on a lunar cycle or solar cycle..... over even the oscillation of atoms themselves.....You will never remove sequence or order from existence. It comes from the very character of God.

The L.O.V.E. silliness indicated that your point came to a absurdly, obvious halt.

No it wasn't. I did it to point out the absolute absurdity of your argument.

I will repeat that the statement "Alpha and Omega" is nothing more than another way to say I am "beginning and end". It has nothing to do with the Greek Alphabet.

In fact, the very verse you reference as Christ being the fulfillment of prophecy doesn't have the phrase "Alpha and Omega"

Isa 41:4  Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he.

Quit being dishonest. You're making a weasel's argument.

Are you ever going to deal with what I wrote in the OP? I don't think you ever had any intentions to have a sincere discussion on the matter.

Alpha and Omega are Greek letters.
Beginning and End are markers of time.

If you say that God is Tme based on the "beginning and end" merism, then you must also argue that "God is the Greek Alphabet."

That is the absurdity of your position.

You're the one being absurd in the comparison. I used your own words to show that the phrase "Alpha and Omega" has nothing to do with the very prophecy you say that Rev 1:8 fulfills. The prophecy extends beyond the Greek Alphabet. Its another way of saying that God is beginning and end. The words "Alpha and Omega" aren't even part of the prophecy. You're the one that is failing to honestly deal with this.

Again I ask, when are you going to deal with my OP? Why are you being so dishonest?

Funny. :)

You statement does give me an interesting entry point to make another argument about time being eternal..

Question for you.....

Is History eternal?  or does it change?

I refuse to take Stimpy seriously.

PY... How do you define "beginning" and "end" In respect to your position that this means "God is Time?"

God said He is beginning and end. I take it for what it is. A phrase to denote a whole.... Eternal.

You clearly admitted that beginning and end are references to time.

Eternity is not described with a beginning and an end. The redemption story, fulfilled in Christ is described as beginning and ending.

So the redemption story ends? Is that what you're saying?

The story never ends. You're playing with words, You have already said that Alpha and Omega is a merism that indicates a whole. That whole can be an never ending "thing"!

You can't seriously believe this statement refers to a literal beginning and end.

You guys are really abandoning your beliefs to hold onto a lie.

Show me the end of the story. Christ will forever be the Lamb that was slain.
