Trump 2016
But they won't adopt that attitude because that's not who they are that's not who they are now why would it change?

Take this attack on France, Trump is the ONLY one talking about securing the border and building a wall and the media and even some of the other candidates are trying to portray him as a looney.

You think the other candidates will start talking about securing the borders now? Well guess what? Trumps been talking about it.  And you better believe he will say, I was the only one talking like this not these dummies.

And again, it will push him up in the poles.
He might as well be talking about sending people to other planet to mine for precious metals. We have over 5000 miles of international border and over 12,000 miles of coastline. It's not physically possible to secure our border in this fashion.

It'll be interesting to see what becomes of his attack on Carson. I must admit, I kinda agree that Carson is, at the very least, embellishing his story.

He isn't embellishing nothing.

I heard someone say, the story of ourselves always sounds better when we tell it verses someone else.

You don't think Carson is embellishing his life story?

Nope!

I can't help but think its a little off.

Methinks because he is running for president, leading Trump in some polls and because Trump says so.

Ben Carson, first black presidential candidate in history to have his college records investigated by the media.

Racism.

Not true. Obama's pubic records were investigated. Carson's public records will be investigated.

Maybe you forgot, but Obama was vetted pretty harshly before he became the Demo nominee. Especially by the Clinton machine.

No, I think it was Bill Clinton who had his "pubic records" investigated, not Obama.

Trump didn't start this with Carson. Carson's story is a little unbelievable. I think any rational person would say this. We all tend to embellish our life story. Some more than others. I don't usually agree with Juan Williams but I think he was pretty much right about Carson embellishing his story much like a rap artist embellishes being in the "hood" to become popular. All of us like an underdog story to some degree.

When someone gets up and says stuff  like, if Ford builds a plant in Mexico I will tax them so hard to bring those vehicles back into our country it will not be worth it for them to take our jobs over there.

No one else I mean no one, is talking like this.

Comments like this is why he is leading the polls.

Donald Trump in Iowa: "I know more about ISIS than the generals do. Believe me."

No one else is talking like this.., except billionaire narcissists who admit to getting their foreign policy information from watching the television news shows.  But it does remind me of President Obama saying he knows more about the issues than his all of his cabinet members. A wise man knows what he doesn't know.

Comments like these is why Trump and his adoring, "he say's it like it is" supporters may blow up any chance of beating HRC.

It's very very obvious that he is correct..................France ring a bell?

Ha!  Does that suggest he decided learning leaders identities and factions was worthwhile after all?  Trump knew this would happen and our military generals had no idea? I thought he was going to find the "best generals" to take care of such things. I guess that's off the list now...he "know's more than they do."

Trump, the military genius knows  democratic countries are in grave danger from ISIS but he wants to let someone else take the risk of doing something about it. Might be a good branding strategy but not so good for running our country and being a leader in the free world.

You answered your own question.

Only changes their ability to do something about it...not their knowledge of the dangers. It's fairly well known the military leadership is not crazy about their CiC's decisions. Some have said so after retirement.

After Trump's bazaar attack on Ben Carson Friday the 13, I will be very surprised if it doesn't bring his poll numbers down dramatically.  Comparing Carson to a child molester was totally over the top and makes me think that Trump is the one with the "pathological" problem.  I believe Trump may have cursed himself and shows that he isn't above anything if someone threatens his number one poll position.  Even Michael Savage who has called Trump the "Winston Churchill" of our day was appalled by the uncalled for attack.  Cruz/Carson for 2016.

I don't often agree with Sen. Lindsay Graham, but when he said Trump was the most uninformed person on foreign policy to ever run for president, I had to agree with him. Carson might be a close second -- his heart is in the right place, but he doesn't know enough for the job.

So who could I support? Almost any Republican nominee except those two. All the rest in the top eight (the ones in the main FBN debate last week) are better.

Well if you believe nothing can really be changed...

You misunderstand my point.  I think things can change, and for the better.  Any of the candidates we're talking about would be a change of improvement.  But to change just for the sake of change is to be ill-informed about the issues.  The substance and policy of a candidate ought to be analyzed.  While it's true that a president must surround himself with good people (as Trump has alluded to when backed into a corner on several issues where he hasn't had an answer regarding his knowledge of a situation, like the middle east political and military players), he can't just be a cartoonish hawk that shoots his mouth off as he tries to sound tough, but instead of sounding tough he just incites and inflames actual skirmishes unnecessarily.

Obama was more uninformed than Trump when he took office.  He specifically chose Biden as his running mate to offset that (at least in the public eye).

I don't want Trump as president, but the fact that he may be uninformed about foreign policy isn't why.  He can always surround himself with those who are informed.

lemme guess, your preference amongst all those others would be for Rand?  ;)

Ok I get what everyone is saying about Trump.

But I still believe he will drop the hammer faster and harder on other countries than the others. I think Carly would but as much as I like her we really don't need a woman in office.

Carson, Cruz or Carly.

That's what needs to happen.

Carson needs to be president and he choose either Cruz, Carly or even Trump although Trump ain't gonna take second to any of them.

Carson drops the "Jesus" name around and all the Christians begin cheering and fawning.  Doctrine be damned, because my IFB-X friends either don't know or don't care that Carson and his wife (and his mother) are life-long members of the Seventh Day Adventist church.

SDAs used to be a cult when I was growing up IFB.  Maybe things have changed?

Look, ain't nobody IFB except IFB, ok.

Never said anybody was IFB if they weren't.  My point was that my IFBx friends think Carson is the next presidential messiah, without regard to any SDA doctrine that is not compatible with their own.  Religious affiliation is a poor predictor as to who will be an effective president.

I had several SDA friends in California.  There aren't many people who I can say I'm 100% sure have the Holy Spirit and humbly display it all the time, but I can say that about one of my SDA friends.
