In that scenario of failure the person would be reported and go back to prison and the church would assist in their conviction.

Monday morning at work he tells me, I went to that church you suggested. I said, how was it? He said, the man that was leading the music is on the sex offenders list. I said, you’re joking right? He said, no I looked his name up and the pastors name up on the sex offenders list and the song leaders name was on there.

I’m curious, what would you have told him?

I would have said that an offender would not be given a position of such high leadership in our assembly, so it’s a scenario we wouldn’t face.

All churches should have background checks with anyone who works with minors. No rapist should see the light of day for many, many, years much less being allowed to work with children and cold-blooded murderers should receive the death penalty whether they have repented or not. Some sins are greater than others and have greater consequences.
