The Heresies of the Religion of Calvinism and how Satan has used it to infiltrate the Church

I wonder why you didn't compare this verse to its parallel in the KJV?

It was to trap you into proving you didn't watch the video. They were compared side by side in the video, but I wanted to test you to see if you actually watched it, and if you didn't I wanted to see just how illogical your response would be.

KJV: "But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!"

How we do get into heaven? Through simple trust in the finished work of the cross.
So if you instead trust riches, it will be hard for you to have a change of mind and trust Christ instead of those riches.

ESV: "And the disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said to them again, “Children, how difficult it is to enter the kingdom of God!"

Nothing about trusting anything. Anyone who didn't have a KJV would simply read this as it is: "difficult to enter the kingdom of God". Plain and simple.

No need to overcomplicate it to avoid the truth in your own defiant mind. Truth is never muddy or complicated.
When God reveals it to you, it's clear. Men just reject it because they hate the truth and love their own traditions.

Partially answered in our recent Bible studies, but let me timestamp a video that better answers:

I know there might be an immediate defensive reaction that it's Gail but I personally had a hand in putting that video together for that channel so it's good.

Just let her finish making that one point.
So we got a guy with a business degree teaching theology and a woman with an interior decorating degree teaching us about Greek and Linguistics. What could go wrong?

So we got a guy with a business degree teaching theology
Since you're bringing my credibility into question: my "business" degree is an extremely small aspect of my overall education and life experience.

An MBA is no standard "business degree" anyway (and you're also unaware of what my Concentration was).
One of the most important aspects of an MBA program is learning how to collect, organize, and communicate
information efficiently and effectively at the micro and macro level.
The number one problem most people have is not understanding, but communicating understanding to their target audience.
All the MBA does is provide the framework and workflow by which information is taken from the collection phase through to dissemination.

I also have a music degree. And years of experience with film editing. This provides the creative aspect of UGC's content that you see in our videos.
I also attended an extremely solid Bible college under a well-known Pastor who has a long-proven track record for a period of time.

I also used to work as a professional analyst in various capacities,
where I made decisions via my analysis that had life or death consequences.
Meaning I'm used to working under the pressure where if I make a mistake, people could die.
So it's not like the amateurs here who can get away with lying and acting like rebellious little kids.
Imagine if every call you made could get someone killed if your analysis was off.
I'll tell you now: many I worked with quit and went home because they were too afraid to put their analysis on the line and bear the life or death consequences that would ripple across their families. Get it wrong and it's on you. It's not play school like it is in here with you children.

Not to mention the fact that prior to all of that, my best friends since middle school include people who went on to become scientists who graduated with PhD's at the top of their class from UC Berkeley and the like.

By contrast, "official scholars" with a little seminary degree from "New Version New Calvinist New Seminary" means one thing: someone took your money and gave you a compromised education from the New Versions that you could have gotten online for free.

Work experience, skillsets that were put on the line and proven time and time again with real world consequences to people's lives, and those you have associated with since youth are what really matter.

Just hanging out with joe schmoe's your whole life and then sitting in a classroom for a few hours a week before collecting your paper degree means far less than real world experience. You need both.

"Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." -KJV
"For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few." -ESV

Are you saying the words "narrow" and "hard" are synonyms?

"And the disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said to them again, “Children, how difficult it is to enter the kingdom of God!" -ESV

Do you believe it's hard and difficult to get into heaven, or that it's a free gift and takes no work on our part?

"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, if any
man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."

Do you know how to read?
In context these expressions are not that far off. If I say "narrow is the way to become a Navy Seal" I'm not saying there is physical narrow passageway one must trot down to become one. What I am saying is that there are certain difficult things that must be done to accomplish it. Unless you think Matthew 7:14 is referencing an actual path and gate.

An MBA is useful I won't disagree with that. My disagreement would be believing it makes you superior and everyone else needs to shut off their minds because there is someone with an MBA, Doctorate, or any other credential in the room. If you look at the average cult (Mormons, Branch Davidians, Jim Jones crew) they had many intelligent leaders with degrees and professional credentials. People who say "just follow me because I'm smart" are dangerous people. An argument either stands or it does not based on the facts.

What I am saying is that there are certain difficult things that must be done to accomplish it.
First of all, that's not what it's saying in the slightest, whatsoever. You are eisegetically injecting what you want it to say into the text.
Are you saying you believe in works salvation?

If you argue for the New Versions, as we can see: you must argue for works salvation to defend them. We can all see the apostasy in what you are doing right now. This is the problem with compromising into these New Versions that showed up barely a century ago. Why are you defending heretical readings that showed up in the English Versions barely 1 century ago.

Instead of doing it backwards like that, I see that the KJV was hundreds of years ahead, therefore when I see that the New Versions went off-track, I don't try to go defend them instead and argue in favor of works salvation like you're doing right now to negate the original readings in the King James.

I'm not trying to support any doctrine. So what do you believe the verse is saying when it says "narrow is the way"? Do you believe there is an actual narrow path you must traverse down to be saved?

It was to trap you into proving you didn't watch the video.
UGC thinks I need to be "trapped" into proving I didn't watch his stupid videos--something I have boasted of freely, all along.

What a pair of dimbulbs. The two of them collectively don't have enough wattage to light up an exit sign.

My disagreement would be believing it makes you superior and everyone else needs to shut off their minds because there is someone with an MBA, Doctorate, or any other credential in the room.
Never said anything like "MBA's are superior to everyone else and you should all shut off your minds", I always tell others to think for themselves.

The Bible says that the body has many members. The hand is not the eye.
Therefore, some people will have expertises that differ from others' expertises. This in no way implies they are superior to everyone at everything.

The Bible says God calls pastors and teachers. The Bible says one of the diverse gifts of the spirit is knowledge. To another, wisdom. To another, faith.

The arrogant people in our modern culture don't want to feel inferior to anyone, that's why they want a Communistic society where they're not allowed to be below anyone in anything and everyone has to be equal in all things with them. For them, if everyone doesn't get a trophy, it means the person who is better than them at something is trying to act "superior", because no one in their delusional societal construct is allowed to be "superior" at anything. Sorry, that's not how this works. There are diversities, but the same Spirit.

I humble myself before the expertise of my friends who are scientists when it comes to their area of expertise. When they start talking chemistry or physics, I don't whine about them acting "superior" because I'm not an arrogant little kid who wants to be "equal" with everyone in everything. People are not equal. There are things people are better than you at, and in order to learn from others, you have to learn how to let other people be better than you at something. The world doesn't revolve around you and your refusal to admit that other people are better than you at certain things. That is the epitome of arrogance and individual rebellion. God organized mankind to function communities. Within those communities, people have different expertises. Let them function in those expertises without trying to drag them down like crabs in a barrel just because they make you feel inferior. You need to find your own expertise and function in that, while learning from others around you and trusting the area God trained them in. That's the only way a team can function: trust. You can't sit there and wait for God to make you the expert in everything, God made you a member of the body, not the entire body.

Where does it say works are required for salvation? That was your original claim.

You didn't miss much. It was just Gail displaying some pages from her books.

I actually don't disagree with much of what you have stated here other than your arrogance. Even in your writing here you work from the assumption that you are the only one with a degree. I guarantee there are individuals on this board who have college degrees (not counting honorary). I would not even be surprised if there were a few MBA's on here. Most folks once they've accomplished something in the world no longer really lean on their degree to define them. When I interview job candidates if they have no experience in their field than I want to know some details about their degree. If they have been in the workforce for 3 years or more I could care less about their degree, I only want to know what they have accomplished and how that will help our organization meet it's mission.

Did she have any suggestions on how I could arrange my living room or the best color for curtains?

Wow, that didn't sound male chauvinist at all.

I'm sure she could karate kick your fat butt back into the 16th century so you could whine about the Dispensationalists with your mentally stunted guru John Calvin.

Wow, that didn't sound male chauvinist at all.
Are you aware of what Riplinger's actual expertise is in? What degrees she earned? Which department she taught for at Kent State? The topics of her published textbooks prior to New Age Bible Versions?

Here's a free clue: None of them are in a field related to Bible study.
Here's another: Some of them are in a field related to matching curtains.

Yet more red herrings.

UGC, genius, MBA, Korean, can't stop changing subjects to get away from the gasbag in the OP video.
