Drove past the WHBC compound during the Sunday morning service hours today.  Observed less than one third the cars in the parking lot that I saw last Summer and even last Winter.  Seems they are running a whopping 4 buses these days.

Looks like the latest misconduct is taking deep root

My opinion and advice to those remaining....... RUN!

What years were you at WHBC

Well then I am definitely sure we know each other.  I am so glad you are over a decade away from that place.  I hope your family is long gone also.

You left about the time Dr. V was fighting the FFF wars.  Do you remember any of those days?  He was accused by several individuals of "sexual indiscretions" just like his son is being accused of now.

The fruit don't fall far from the tree.

I was not a part of the FFF wars. But I did hear about them    Was a little scarred at the time from the WHBC drama. Wanted to move on. My brother, though, was on here a lot.

Wise choice in moving on.

Did you use your OBC degree or go in a different direction?

Myself and family have gone in another direction ourselves.

I actually did / do use my OBC degree.  I taught school for years and now am an administrator. I moved to a state far far away where no one had ever heard of WH lol.  I still attend a largish independent baptist church and am involved .  If I mention OBC they have no clue or Jim Vineyard is a vague reference.  Kinda refreshing.

Well that is wonderful to hear!!  It is funny how WHBC is not as important as they want everyone to believe.  While we were there it was as if all other churches desire to be like WHBC and Dr. V was known around the world.

You confirmed what we have long since found out.  WHBC ain't no big deal outside its own walls.  Even in its own city!

Lol. Sooooo true!!!  Was so memorized At the time!!

We all were and those still there are still that way with the place.  That is a big reason nothing ever came of the allogations of misconduct by JAV. And the fact he called in all his favors with leaders in the communty since they "honor" them every year in the Fall program.

But for Vineyard junior it is not going so well.  He does not have the favors to call up.  Staff and church members are bailing on the place by the droves these days.

Pretty sure that bus count is down by 2 more now. So many people have left they had to shut down route simply because no one is there to run them.

Yep, no free labor pool since the college is near zero in attendance these days.

Yes it really is.  When you were a student the college was running 175 to 200 students or thereabout.  After the fallout from the accusations of Dr. V's behavior with females the numbers started to decrease.  Then Dr. V went into fight mode against Islam/muslims and the numbers started falling faster.  Staff started departing for various reasons and it started to drop even faster.  That all started excellerating after Dr. V stepped aside and turned it over to Tom.  Now Tom is alleged to have had indescretions occur and a mass exodus has occured.

When I drove by their parking lot Sunday morning during the morning service I saw about 4 vehicles in the lot.  Way way way way down from last winter even last winter.  I will be totally surprised if they have 15 college students this Fall.  Even more surprised if the Christian school makes it another 2 years.

Bottom line, in my opinion, is that you cannot treat people the way some IFB churches do and expect to last long term.  The chickens come home to roost eventually!!!

Actually, I've found that that is the way a lot of IFB churches work. Unfortunately.
