4) Proverbs 9:10 tells us ""The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom," Since scorners do not have wisdom, they do not fear the Lord. “The fear of the Lord is to hate evil,” and “By the fear of the Lord, men depart from evil” are two verses describing the spiritual state of scorners.

5) By rejecting the Word of God in favor of scorn, scorners have cut themselves off from the success God promises to those who cling to His Word.
Joshua 1:8 tells us that our mouths are to be filled with God's Word. People who fill their mouths with scorn, judging, speaking evil of the brethren, etc., are not eligible for the blessings that come from taking a strong stand for God's Word. And the second half of the verse tells us to meditate on His Word day and night.

Psalm1:1-3 tells us "Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper."

6) The scorners’ disobedience to God’s commands to seek peace with the brethren gives them the ability to produce harm. Hebrews 12:14-15 tells us "Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;"

7) Jesus does not manifest Himself to scorners who disobey His commands to love the brethren. Obedience also produces success in God's work. John 14:21 tells us "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him."

8) God does not answer the prayers of scorners. Psalm 66:18 tells us "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me."

The second thing I learned:

Scorners despise the Word of God.

In mocking God's promises of blessings on this thread, scorners would claim that they were mocking me. But when you look at their posts, they're responding to my showing God's promises of blessings.

Ransom has directly attacked the Word of God, one time calling it "empty" and "vapid," and on another occasion calling God's promises of answered prayer "vapid BS."

These attacks actually make sense. The Scriptures tell us that if a person refuses to submit to God's authority (God forbids scorning) then he doesn't receive humility. So you have a handful of proud scorners reading that God has cut them off from His blessings. Their contempt for God's Word is reasonable.

Not to stick up for Ransom, he is capable of doing that himself. Vince, that's what he said about your argument and reasoning. Once again you are lying and distorting the truth. He was not attacking the Word of God.

Vince is a blatant liar and I think he is probably somewhat psycho. But, I have thought that for a couple of years now.

The third thing I learned: There is a major tare problem with the scorners.

Folks, I have met a few people who despise God's saints more than the scorners, but not many. And I have met people who despise God's ways more than the scorners, but not many. But I have never met anyone who despises God Words as fervently as the scorners.

Galatians 5:19-21 lists the sins that prove that a person is not saved. "Selfish ambitions," translated "strifes" in the KJV, refers to people who fight to advance themselves. I mentioned one time that people who fight their way into church leadership positions are not saved, and the scorners went so hopping mad that three days later they were still ripping into God's Word. It makes sense: since God scorns scorners and does not bless them, how does a scorner get a church leader position? Seize it.

The scorners' enthusiastic defense of each other's sins, their unwavering contempt for God's Word, their hostility towards the saints, and their constant fighting are all evidence that the scorners have a major tare problem.

Remember that the overall purpose of this thread is how to succeed in God's work.

Paul gave the Galatians a list of sins that prove that a person is not really saved. Then he reminded them that he had told them before. And now he is telling them again. It appears that Paul expected anger from the saints when they saw tares being rejected at the Great White Throne Judgment. In other words, a lot of Christians just don't believe Galatians 5:19-21.

The fourth thing I learned: Our invisible readers are a lot smarter than they look.

When the scorners started attacking, I was surprised at how quickly this series grew to over 100 hits per day. Occasionally, the scorners would boycott the series, and the count dropped to 80, but within three days it was back up to 100. Then the scorners wold return, but there was little change in the count. This happened three times in a row, and I realized that about 20 readers who were showing up for the scorn had begun showing up to learn Scripture.

I would answer a scorner, and it would not change the hit count. I would ignore the scorners, and it did not change the hit count. I realized that our readers did not respect the scorners and were not influenced by them.
