Kenny Baldwin

In all situations a Christian should have compassion for everyone involved mixed with a strong dose of judgement for the wrong doer. As a men we should want judgement and the compassion will have to come later. I am saddened by the pain such behaviour brings to the victim and their family and friends as well as the family and friends of the accused. They did nothing to bring this hurt on themselves. I am also conserned how such events hurt the cause of Christ. Be sure your sin will find you out is still in the book. "WHAT WAS HE THINKING" he had to know it would come out, it always does? We also need to create a culture where the victims feel comfortable seeking help when they are abused. Does anyone know the age of the boy. I somehow missed it in all the stories.
I have no compassion for the pervert. He should be put in prison and allow the harden criminals do what they will to him.

Who here can testify before everyone that they never ever, under any circumstance or situation,
That they never, ever, could commit a sin like or akin to Kenny Baldwin's sin?

Not justifying Kenny's sin, he deserves to make little rocks out of the big rocks at the gray bar hotel.
He had dragged the name of our precious Lord Jesus Christ through the mud and hindered the testimony of Christ.
He never needs to preach again.
He's diabolical, vile, despicable and all kinds of other adjectives.
His victims are scarred for life and need our prayer.

But who here can testify before everyone that they NEVER, EVER, under ANY circumstances or situation could EVER commit a sin like or akin to Kenny Baldwin's sin?

I'm just asking!
I, with some confidence, can say I would never commit that sin, on the other hand we all have besetting sins that in the right circumatances we could easily commit. We must all be on guard 100% of the time. We must be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:. One weak moment and I believe we would be shocked what we could do. I strive to fear God and to walk with him and rely on him not myself.

James 1:14-15 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. ;Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

1 Timothy 6:9 ;But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

Ecclesiasticus 1:21 The fear of the Lord driveth away sins:

Galatians 5 tells us to walk in the spirit and not give into the flesh.

I think in one of the points maybe 10or 11 he basically said what I said. And that is, basically the entire adult membership will know who you are.

I personally believe that there is no room for these kind of people in my community much less the church I attend.

If the church I attended allowed a pedophile to become a member I would no longer go to that church. And I would tell anyone that was interested in going to that church that they allow pedophiles to be members there.

Why? Because people need to know where they are bringing their family.
That would be your prerogative, but the safeguards in the article linked covered the notion of making congregants aware. People choose not to come to churches for a whole host of reasons, some more Biblically warranted than others. You seem more interested in vengeance than any Biblical solution.
