Latest ICE Shooting

So it appears that Pretti was cruisin for a bruisin back on the 13th.

Not sure that justifies shooting him at a separate incident. But if they'd arrested him on the 13th, he'd probably have been kept out of trouble on the 24th.

Alex Pretti was not a "peaceful protester." To quote Ludwig van Beethoven, dumb dumb dumb dumb.

a very angry man prone to violence.... and not smart enough to realize violent actions have violent consequences...... ..the broken rib should have taught him something.... ...

I am not making any judgments as to whether the force used by ICE against Renee Good and Alex Pretti was justified or not. There should be a fair and unbiased investigation, to make those determinations.

I have noted that news coverage of the anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles, Chicago and Minneapolis has made repeated statements to the effect that protesters have been "scuffling," "tussling," throwing rocks at law enforcement, trying to block law enforcement vehicles, and otherwise physically attacking law enforcement. In other words, they have been "cruisin' for bruisin'." There is no excuse for that, and "protesters" who indulge in such conduct are asking for trouble and committing felonies.

In late 2002-early 2003 I took part in 4 massive protest marches against Bush's proposed war in Iraq. I also took part in 2 massive protests against Israeli policies in the Middle East. There were thousands of people and high emotions at all these events. However, at no time did I witness any "scuffling," "tussling," rock-throwing or blocking of law enforcement vehicles by the protesters, nor were any such tactics reported in the news media. There is no excuse for violence, property destruction or any type of law-breaking at these anti-ICE protests, or for any other cause by any left-wing or right-wing elements. People who want to protest should do so peacefully, write their Congressmen, and obey lawful instructions by police. If their undies are in such a bunch about their favorite cause, that they cannot keep themselves under control, they should stay at home.

The current events that are being referred to as peaceful protests and civil disobedience have nothing in common with the protests during the civil rights movement. There was plenty of violence but it was not generally initiated by the protest planners and participants as is common practice now.

He was acting very crazy earlier, and the far left would tolerate that behavior to them seeing legal authority as greater evil

Why wasn't he arrested at the time? No shortage of charges to choose from.

ICE and the Border Patrol couldn't have detained him? It's not like they are shy about cuffing people and giving them rides. 😉
I think a federal judge in Minnesota issued a preliminary injunction to prevent ICE from such.😉

do you really not see the answer to that?...... things like what you saw in the pretti car kicking video are happening multiple times every day in minneapolis during ice operations...... most of them are given warnings.... if ice can catch them... and then released...... .... ..... ice can;t arrest and detain all of them.. or even any of them, and still be able to do the job they are there to do..... and if it wasn;t for the fact pretti was shot and killed a few days later this kicking incident would have never made the news...

the violence on the part of protestors is a tactic to distract ice from doing their jobs.... the more it is focused on the greater the distraction it makes..... it wastes both time and resources... .... . kinda like your inane posts pretending not to know what is going on....... grow a brain.... ..

Um they "caught" him enough to break his rib.

What, and leave a living martyr?
I'm thinking that you may want to rephrase. As written it sounds like they (the feds) spared him until they had a better cover story for killing him. Surely you don't believe that.

right... and even though he fought back at them to the point that catching him fractured his rib... they warned him... and then released him..... .. ....... what part of my post was hard for you to understand?........ ....
Beat him up and let him go. Who's trying to intimidate whom?

The odd part is that they released him without recording his identity. That's some pretty poor policing. They weren't even able to connect the two incidents. The media figured it out for them with facial recognition!

No I don't.

Guy has (semi)violent run-in with officers and gets away with it. He is now emboldened to escalate and take it up a notch becoming a real martyr. Much more useful to the anti-ICE narrative.

The wording is such that ICE didn't want to leave a living martyr. I used the pronoun they (antecedent ICE) when I asked why they didn't arrest him. Your response without changing the subject (ICE) in question carries the pronoun (antecedent ICE) over into your comment/answer.

I didnt say that you were wrong about the protest movement. I pointed out the poor use of the Kings English to communicate your answer.
