Some of the comments here seem a bit lacking in Christian charity.

Funny how "lacking in Christian charity" should come up in a thread about Ruckman. What goes around comes around.

He's dead. That means he's beyond my charity. I don't believe him to have been genuinely regenerate, and I'm not going to lie and pretend he was to protect his sycophants' feelings.

That's fine (if you don't believe he trusted Christ); I agree that you don't need to lie to protect his "sycophant's" feelings.  Personally, I believe his positions on abortion, aliens, and the KJV are utterly wrong.

Nevertheless.

He may be beyond your charity, but surely he has loved ones?  Children?  People who will miss him and desire God's comfort?  I pray that God will comfort such.

I had no idea who Prince was yesterday so I decided to find out.

Raunchy Prince was actually a conservative Christian who reportedly opposed gay marriage

Fruit of the Spirit in evidence as per Izdaari.
Awww....now you went an ruined the celebration of all the folks on here who were rejoicing that another heathen went to hell.

I don't think anyone can decide who goes to heaven or hell save the LORD Himself, He knows we don't.

I agree with you, but apparently there are some who believe otherwise:

Prince and Chyna had no salvation profession of which I am aware.  Regardless of how much some enjoyed their music or career, they are most likely in Hell.

They are in hell right now and earth praises them for their carnal life.

If others love them too, I hope they are in a position to warn them not to follow in his footsteps.

He was a Jehovah's Witness since 2001. And although he stopped performing some of his older songs, he never entirely shed that raunchy image, despite his newfound apparent conservatism.

I just felt that perhaps Ruckman had something going for him.
Evidently, his previous two wives didn't think so.  Not sure about the third one.

I'm done. Said my say.

..then shut up.  Don't give us false hope.

You're no boy scout yourself.
Never claimed to be. ...but I'm not the one who said they had their say and were done.  Man of your word much, Timmeh?  Most evidently not.

Of the three who has actually done more harm to genuine biblical truth?
Ruckman, who spread the KVJO nonsense, leading many astray.
Not Prince, who though an active JW, wasn't known for that, but for his original music.
Not Chyna, who was a bodybuilder and wrestler.

I harbot no ill will to anyone, but Prince and Chyna are the ones I looked up to for their special talents, and the ones I'll miss.

[No thanks. - Ransom]

Time to put up or shut up Ransom. The list of things I disagree with Ruckman on is (was) very long, but I have heard his testimony of salvation several times on audio & at least once on video. I have several friends who are Ruckman fans & we debate often but I have never questioned he was saved. He may have been warped on many of his views but based on his statements I believe he was saved. I have heard him give a very clear presentation of the gospel as well.

What has he said and when did he say it, to make you believe he is not saved. whether or not someone is for or against KJVO that has zero bearing on ones salvation. Lets have it VIDEO OR AUDIO. Are you just showing your dislike , hatred even, for the man.

I have a question for you.

Lets exclude those who try to push their view of the proper version on others. What is the downside if I choose the KJV as my preferred version and choose to use it exclusively? I am not a academic or extremely educated. Let say I like the old style of the text, I like its history, I like the way it reads, I like looking up some of the old word and what they meant at the time not just taking a more current translated version, I like that everyone has the same version and that I don't have to keep switching back and forth during a service, I like no copyright on the text, I like the italicized words & quotes and I like that our country was founded on it & God has blessed it's use. If I agree to accept its shortcomings is there any factual reason I should not choose to use this much older translation. How am I hurting myself and my family.

You are hurting your family by not allowing them to enjoy the lyrics to Prince's music.  They are much more of a blessing.

Those explicit lyrics were from before he found Jesus. Just like Johnny Cash, Prince changed and now is in heaven. Get with the times. Ruckman never changed.

Where does the Bible specifically say recreational drug usage is wrong?

It doesn't.  Sexually explicit lyrics are ok.  Performing on stage in your underwear is fine.  ODing on drugs is fine.  It is all good!

Habakuk 2:15 indicates there is a curse on those who use substances that alter awareness to take immoral advantage of others.
Lot's two daughters getting him drunk so they could take immoral advantage is an example.

I don't think that was the problem, it was more like drunkeness which along with overeating, gluttony, is a sin that can not be doubted.

I don't much care what you prefer.

Now, if you declare your preference to be, in fact, "advanced revelation" that "corrects the Greek," and you hurl the worst sort of invective at everyone who disagrees with that nonsensical view, then I'll probably assume you're going to the same place as Dr. Petey, and good riddance

Put another way: Ruckman took his preference, and made it into a law by which he bound Christians' consciences. That makes him the very definition of a Pharisee. And so, to paraphrase the words of Jesus, woe unto him.

Not all Christians' consciences.  I believe most of us took him for the moronic jackass he was.  He preyed upon the weak-minded just like any other cult leader.
