And Majesty Music isn't in the music industry?

They would be in their own defined industry separate from CCM.

And who gets to decide the boundary that delineates the two?

While both can be contemporary in what they publish, I believe the separate industries clearly define what they publish. The consumer defines it, along with the recording artist for each label.

When it comes to Majesty Music, their website says "Sacred Music you can trust" ... this alone defines them. But, digging further we learn Dr. Frank Garlock is the president and founder of Majesty Music, Inc. - and listening to a message by Dr. Frank will quickly inform you what industry Majesty Music caters to. Only recording artist with similar convictions as Dr. Frank seem to be promoted by Majesty Music. They also so their own distribution it appears. They are truly independent of any other industry. Majesty Music caters to IFB Churches and their congregations.

When it comes to Getty Music,  their website says "Writers of an acclaimed repertoire of 21st century hymns revered both for their theologically astute lyrics and universally beloved melodies" ... and when we seek further info we learn that their latest CD is Produced by Charlie Peacock and Ed Cash (men who are behind many names in the genre of modern popular music known as CCM - ex Switchfoot, Amy Grant). It is distributed by EMI CMG Distribution. Take a look at their website, http://www.capitolchristianmusicgroup.com/ Getty Music caters to the whole of religious (Christian focus) industry - faith based. They are okay with all forms of music, use all forms of musical backing to get their music in the hands of masses.

As you can see. Majesty Music and Getty Music are two different industries. One is not for the masses, the other is.

Praise the Lord, reaching the lost.
Yep, something our Lord would want to be "IDENTIFIED" with.

Or it could be just an abbreviation of his given name...McKeehan.  ;)

Oh, and if a man whose name is Richard allows himself to be called Dick, is that something God wouldn't want to be "IDENTIFIED" with?
