PCC Cancels Singers Appearance Because One Is Gay

I meant the student, who is at least 8 or 9 years younger than me. So yeah, he is a kid to me.
Being clear does help. My apologies for not understanding “blowing steam here” was a reference to a quote in the original post a couple day ago.

I'm of the mind that if a Bible college/Christian college is training ministers, evangelists, missionaries, etc., they should be held to the same standards as a church....period. If not, they've got no business teaching these people. Stands to reason to me.

As do I, but I allow latitude on things that may involve some grayness. For instance, this could be considered in a similar light (depending on some nuanced variables, like The Kings group's public militancy/advocacy for that agenda) as secondary separation issues. One parallel that I read somewhere (can't remember where, might have even been in this thread) was that they play and teach (classical) music composed by known homosexuals.

Yes, they do...but those classical music composers are long dead and gone and nothing really can be done as far as banning them, no, can there be? Unless, of course, you want to ban their music which has been accepted for 100+ years. Active homosexuals are quite a different story. Nuff said. ;)

Sorry, I did join at a convenient time because it just happened, and so was looking at different outlets to see how people outside were responding to the incident. I just thought it would be helpful to give insight from a person actually on campus. I am working on Church Music Degree here and am preparing for ministry after completely what would be my second masters. This is my first degree from here, so I have a pretty objective perspective.

Again, I appreciate the insiders perspective. Stick around if you don't get too annoyed by the vagrants 😁, and chime in on some of the threads in the main upstairs ("Fighting") forum.

I agree! He should stick around! We need more eKKK's around here! LOL

I think that is how I view it as well, but others like to make fine distinctions , splitting things finer than a polished frogs hair. 😁

Yes, ZBrungard, please stick around. We would appreciate hearing your thoughts and perspectives as a current PCC student. You may want to review this article regarding PCC by David Cloud and give us your thoughts. If it's a bunch of baloney, we want to know.

I hope it is understood by everyone that when I post an article like this, by the Reverend Cumulonimbus  or anyone else, it does not mean that I endorse all the contents of the article or can assure its accuracy. All I mean is that "Here is what people are saying, and if it's fake news, we would appreciate a clarification or rebuttal or whatever."

Agreed...I've found that in many churches....LOL

I am currently at PCC seminary, and I know a lot of students here, undergrad and graduate. I have no idea who the kid commenting here is (obviously) but he’s blowing steam. I know a grand total of one student that cares enough to make a thing about it, and that’s only to good friends (of which I am one). There’s nothing toxic here, perhaps a slight disagreement here and there, but that’s it. Overblown drama for an unfortunate situation par usual. Life is literally no different here now than it was before the incident. I know as many undergrad as grad, and it’s the same in both places. PCC did right by paying and taking care of them, and has made statements regarding the mistakes they had made to put themselves in this situation. Ugly weekend, but all the steps are being made to make it right.
It's nice to have a voice of reason here. Welcome. Iook forward to hearing more from you.

Thank you. Inspiring words. Did you learn that verse in seminary?
I'm a fundy, we don't do cemetary, learnt it in the good ole KJV just like Apostle Paul.

You seem to be in quite a disrespectul, antagonistic demeanor today, Huk...miss your second cup of coffee/cocoa this morning? LOL
I’m not sure why you zeroed in on me. Like I often see on here from you, I dish it out when it’s dished to me. I didn’t make it personal to begin with. The chain of posts speak for themselves. No matter how many thumbs up are given by the cheerleaders, I’m cool with that. I wonder if Jesus would make sport of it? 😏
